Chapter Forty Two

Amelia POV
Today was a really long day but that was because I have been taking extra hours once a week because next month I'm going into my seventh month and I'm going on maternity leave and right now all I wanted to do was take a HOT shower and then go straight to sleep but when I arrived home Owen was sitting on the couch waiting looking upset

Amelia: Hey babe what's wrong is everything okay
Owen: We need to talk
Amelia: What is it did anything happen is anything wrong
Owen:Um actually
Amelia: What happened
Owen: Well ..... Today I found out that Quinn has an older sister and possibly a younger brother
Amelia: Wait What How
Owen: Jo told me She said that while they were at the park today before Zola fell Jo and Meredith saw Quinn interacting with another girl in way like they knew each other and so while Quinn was helping me make lunch for everyone I asked her if she knew this girl at first she seemed really quiet about it but then she started talking and that's when she told me.That when Quinn was three years old her mom told her that her older sister had gotten sick so her mom took her to the hospital while Quinn was in day care.  But when Quinn got back her sister wasn't there and her mom told her that she passed away and today Quinn found out that was a lie truth is that her mom did take her to the hospital but then she abandoned her there. So I called social services The girls name is Claira Jane but every one calls her Claire she is ten years old and she is in the foster care system she was never really sick and truth was that her mom was actually poisoning her to make it seem like she was sick
Amelia: Wait..what?
Owen: Yeah
Amelia: How come Child Protective Serves didn't tell us anything or how come it wasn't on her paper work
Owen: I don't know they said that she was under a different last name she and Quinn have different fathers. Apparently her father also died
Amelia: Do you know what hospital she was apparently abandoned at? and how did no one ever look in to anything? And how about her father how did he die and didn't Quinn's father actually die I mean like seriously seriously seriously
Owen: All I know is that she was "abandoned" at Pacific Northwest
Amelia: That explains a lot...you know I heard a rumor that they had found a bunch of human remains in their back parking lot
Owen: Why am I not surprised
Amelia: So what are we going to do
Owen: I don't know but there is something else that you need to know
Amelia: What is it
Owen: She wants us...to.. kind of adopt her older sister and try to find out what happened to her younger brother I mean did he really die or is he actually also alive like her older
Amelia: Well we can definitely try to find out more about her brother but about her sister I don't know I mean don't know don't you think we have enough going on I mean we are about to have twins don't you think that bring in another child is a little bit to much and say that we find her younger brother alive does that mean we we will have to adopt him too
Owen: I don't know but I do feel that we should at least it out check out
Amelia: Totally
Owen: So anyway how was your day
Amelia: It wasn't as eventful as yours but it had its moments.

What Owen and and Amelia didn't know was that Quinn was in the next room she didn't hear all of the conversation and only heard enough to make her think that they were giving her away just like all her other foster parents thinking she was to much so without a second thought she decided to runaway
