Chapter Twenty Six

Addison's POV

Addison : Amelia please calm down there is nothing wrong with the baby well babies. You guys are having twins.. Amelia looks at me in shock not believing what I just said. I don't blame her so I turn the screen to her so she could have a better look.We are so fixated on the screen that we didn't even realize that Owen had passed out on the floor I run over to him "Oh my god Owen wake up OWEN " It takes a while but he starts to open his eyes and comes back into consciousness. I slowly help him up and walk him over to the chair and take his blood pressure just to make sure that he is ok his blood is a little high but nothing to bad. But just to be safe I call out to a nurse to bring in some water. A couple of minutes later Nurse Poki who has worked at the hospital for a long time came in with a glass of water and gave it to Owen who after finishing his glass of water he put it down and asked me

Owen:So correct me if I am wrong but Amelia and I are not expecting one baby but two as in babies
Addison: Yes you and Amelia are expecting twins meaning two babies
Owen: Ok but are you able to tell if their identical or fraternal
Addison:Not until we are able to tell you the sex which is
Owen: Four months I'm a doctor um so wow I'm having twins me Owen Hunt

Owen POV
I just couldn't believe it Amelia and I are expecting twins I may not have acted like it but I am over the moon and back excited about this. When Addison left to go get the copies of the sonogram Amelia looked at me and told me

Amelia: Listen Owen if your not ready for this I understand if you would want  leave
Owen: Amelia I love you I'm not going anywhere  do you understand
Amelia: Yes
Owen: Hey I guess we get to think of two extra baby names

After our appointment Amelia ended up having to do another surgery which was good because it gave me time to prepare for a special dinner for tonight I changed my mind I'm planning on proposing to Amelia tonight I didn't want to wait another day I had ran into Addison, Charlotte and Jake and told them the plan they were all so excited. We decided that I was to propose to her where we had our first kiss  and I was going to do it when she got done with work

Amelia POV
I was scrubbing out of my last surgery when Addison came in to tell me that Owen went out with the boys at the bar she asked me if I wanted to have a non alcoholic girls night with Charlotte and I told her sure I just have to check up my patience and get my stuff and I'll meet her by the boards in like forty five minutes she then went to go get Charlotte I had to first go check up on Mrs Wilkmon who had a bi-9 tumor . I got everything but I  just wanted to go make sure that everything is still going strong. After that I had to make sure Quinn Everstone a five year old girl who's  alcoholic mother thought it would be nice to throw her across the room. I don't get how some parents could be like this. Child Protective Services is with her it's so sad she has no one her father was shot like mine was the only difference is that she wasn't with him she is going to be put in foster care when she gets out of here I just hope that she goes to a good family

It's shitty how life is sometimes. Here is this amazing , smart, sweet girl who has been through hell and back. I wish I could adopt her  I go to my last patient who is now asleep so I ask Alex who is doing night shift to keep an eye on Quinn and ask Pierce to keep up Mr Edmond who's surgery she did with me just today and to keep me updated if anything happens and then I leave to have a girls night out
