Chapter Nineteen

Amelia's POV

We're at the hospital waiting room to be called for our first ultrasound. I'm so excited but I'm also so scared at the same time. Owen is sitting next to me holding my hand. He tells me that it's going to be okay. I tell him that I know I just don't want to go through what I went through with my unicornbaby . He tells me to look at him in the eyes he tells me that it's not going to be the same cause this time you won't be alone in this at all I'll be there in the room. I ask him you promise, He looks at me and puts his hand up against my check and says " I promise " The nurse walks in and calls my name "Amelia Shepherd " we get up and leads  lus in to a room she told us that we can get ready and the doctor will be in shortly. After she closed the door I sit on the hospital bed. Owen walks over to me and takes both my hands he tells me "Listen Amelia I'm going to be with you all the way ok it's not going to be like last time I promise you that ok" . I then lean over to him and kiss him. His lips are warm and soft and I get this spark from his lips to mine and going all the way to my back its a sensation that I can never get bored with and will never get old but instead it gets better and better every time. As we part Arizona and Alex walk in Arizona ask us if we are ready I tell her "ready then ever" I lean back on the hospital bed and prepare myself for the worst.

Arizona POV
Today Amelia and Owen had an appointment with with Alex and I. I'm so relieved that they have worked things out with each other and expressed their feelings for each other cause I can tell you that this would be so awkward if Owen had not known and that Amelia would have probably told me to keep it to myself they really are an amazing couple. As Amelia rolls up her shirt I squeeze the gel in a circle on to her stomach and put the ultrasound stick to locate the babies heart beat. As I am searching for the heart beat. When I find the the heart beat I couldn't believe it, but it was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard Amelia and Owen start to cry Amelia emotionally and says "Oh my god that's my baby I mean our baby" I see tears rolling down both of their faces but it's not tears of sadness it's tears of joy and happiness. I ask them if they want me to print it out they both said yes of course I tell them ok I'm going to leave you two alone and I'll go print it out. Alex and I both congratulate them and leave

Owen POV
After I watch Alex and Arizona leave I turn to Amelia and pull her in for a hug and whisper in to her ear telling her "See I told you it's going to be ok" I then kiss her on her forehead. Soon after Arizona comes back and hands us the ultrasound Amelia looks at it and a big grin appears on her face. Arizona tells us that our next appointment is in two weeks. Amelia and I head out to go back home neither of us are on call tonight and Bailey said that even if we were she would have given us the day off. Amelia tells me that she is really hungry so we decided to go get the kids at the day care and pick up take out Chinese food and bring it back to Amelia's home when we see Meredith she told us that she was just about to get off anyway so she went to pick up her kids and Amelia and I went to get the Chinese food. We had a lot of food especially Amelia since she is now eating for two Maggie, Webber, Catherine Avery, Jackson and Jackson and April's baby Bethany also join us April is on call tonight. In some way I kinda feel like all of us are like family I mean even though we don't get along as much as we used to Riggs married my sister and even though she died we are still some kind of family now Catherine is Jackson's mother and Catherine married Webber,Webber is Maggie's father, Meredith and Maggie have the same mom, and Meredith married Amelia's brother Derek who unfortunately got killed in a car accident a couple of years ago. Amelia is still having a hard time getting over it in which I understand because I lost my sister which makes me think about baby names. When we finished eating we all watched The Little Rascals who knew that a movie from the 90s could still be good. After the movie everyone left Amelia and I decided to go back to my trailer even though its small we just want to be alone together.
