Chapter Thirty

Maggie ( POV )

I was in a on call room trying to get some rest after I had finished my first solo surgery when someone came barge into the room, it was Amelia I didn't know that she knew I was in the room with her but I was. I had also noticed that she was crying I didn't want to scare her but I couldn't help wondering why she was so upset

Maggie: Amelia are you ok
Amelia: Oh Maggie you scared me I didn't know you were there sorry I'll leave
Maggie: No Amelia what is it are you okay what happened
Amelia: It's nothing
Maggie: No it's okay you can talk to me
Amelia: Are you sure
Maggie: Amelia I'm positive what is it
Amelia: It's just you know Quinn
Maggie: Yeah that girl who came in after her mother threw her across the room right? What happened? Is she okay
Amelia: Yeah she's fine it's just that I have gotten really close to her and I understand what's she has been through you know
Maggie: Yeah and
Amelia: I think that I may want to adopt her
Maggie: That's amazing Amelia have you talked Owen about this
Amelia: No
Maggie: Why
Amelia: I'm afraid that he'll disagree about adoption and everything you know Meredith and Derek were so close to not getting Zola I just can't go through that
Maggie: Amelia if you truly love and care about this little girl and if it's meant to be then it is you know and plus Owen freakin loves you he'll do anything for you even adopting a kid like Quinn
Amelia: I guess you're right I should talk to him about it
Maggie: Yeah
Amelia: Yeah
Maggie: Go talk to him
Amelia I will
Maggie: Okay I'll see you later
Amelia: See you later, oh and Maggie
Maggie: Yes
Amelia: Thank you
Maggie: Happy to help
(Amelia leaves the room in excitement )
Finally I could get some sleep

Owen ( POV )
I was signing  papers when Amelia walked in god she's beautiful I just can't believe she said yes I am the luckiest guy alive and the fact that she's having my kids it's amazing all of my dreams are coming true

Owen: Hey beautiful how are you
Amelia: I'm good thanks how is my amazing soon to be husband
Owen: I'm great now that you're here
Amelia: Listen Owen we need to talk
(I lean back on to my desk bringing Amelia in to me )

Owen: What is it are you ok you're not getting cold feet are you?
Amelia: No, no it's just (Amelia was playing with my tie ) it's just, you know Quinn?
Owen: Yeah
Amelia: Well um I actually have been getting well kind of close to her. And yes I know it's against the hospital rules to get emotionally attached to the patients and everything but..
Owen: Amelia what are you trying to say
Amelia: The thing is that I want to adopt her, listen I know it's crazy but she has been through so much I just don't want anyone to end up the way I did you know an addict and all I mean I had my mom and she was great but when things got bad all I had was Derek and well Quinn she has nobody else
Owen: Listen Amelia I understand what your saying but are you sure
Amelia: I am
Owen: Ok we'll talk more about this when I'm done here ok
Amelia: Sure fine
Owen: Amelia listen I am really considering going through with this I just want to talk about it more ok
Amelia: Yeah
Owen (Before she leaves I grabbed her hand and pulled her in for a kiss ) I love you Amelia
Amelia: I love you too

When Amelia left I began thinking about what she said. I knew how she feels when I was with Christina all I wanted was a little Hunt running around its not that I don't want that with Amelia I do even more so I just want to be sure fore Quinn's sake you know
I decided to go visit her after I am done here and before I leave with Amelia

(One hour later)

I'm finally done with work has I am headed to Amelia's office I stopped by Quinn's room the woman from Child Protective Services was in the chair next to Quinn's bed, Quinn was sound asleep I decided to talk to the lady Child Protective Services who's name I believe is Ms Ravens

Owen: You're Ms Ravens from Children Protective Services right?
Ms Ravens: Yes I am
Owen: Hi my name is Dr Owen Hunt I'm one of the the trauma doctors here and I was wondering if I could have a talk with you out in the hall
Ms Ravens: Sure I just have to let Quinn know

After she told Quinn where she was going Ms Ravens followed me out to the hallway and to tell you the truth I had no idea what I was going to say to her My wife and Amelia Shepherd and I want to add Quinn I mean seriously.
Owen: Listen Ms Ravens this is going to take a long time for me so please bear with me listen I know that you have no control over this but my wife who also works here actually I think that you have met her well her and I are thinking of adopting Quinn
Ms Ravens: Well Dr Hunt
Owen: Owen please just call me Owen
Ms Ravens: Okay well Owen your right I have no say on where the children are placed but I do get an opinion on who I think is a good fit and I have met Amelia and I have seen how good she is with Quinn so I'll see what I can do okay
Owen: Thank you, thank you so much I, I mean Amelia and I really appreciate it
Ms Ravens: It's my pleasure
Owen: Well I have to go so good bye
Ms Ravens: bye Mr Hunt

So are Owen and Amelia going to have the chance of adopting Quinn or not and if not what's going to happen to her and how is Amelia going to feel. Well I guess you'll just have to wait to find out
