Chapter Forthy One

Jo's (POV)

I'm driving the kids to Amelia and Owens house and then I have to go back to the hospital but before I go back to the hospital I really feel as if I should talk to Owen and Amelia about what Meredith and I saw at the park it maybe nothing but I just can't let it go.

As we arrive I get out of the car and open the door to get the kids out. I'm using Meredith's car so I didn't have to transfer Ellis and Bailey's car seat. Owen was already outside waiting for us. As  the kids ran in I told him what happened he thanked me and told me he will tell Amelia who was on her way home from an AA meeting, she didn't have an urge to do anything but since she found out that she was pregnant and she and Owen adopted Quinn she decided it was good idea whenever she can they say that if you experience any kind of change in your life it's always good to go to a meeting. I then left I had a lot of patience to help and a few surgeries to do then I have a doctors appointment because I haven't felt well lately and my back hurts I'm not really worried about it which is why I didn't tell Alex I don't want to upset him for nothing he seems to have a lot on his mind we'll talk later once I know what's going on

Owen's (POV)

After Jo left I decided to make the kids lunch and decided to ask Quinn to help me get it ready and maybe talk to her about what Jo and Meredith saw at the park.

Owen: Hey Quinn do you wanna help me make lunch for everyone
Quinn: Sure
Owen:So Quinn what do you think we should make for lunch
Quinn: I don't know umm......how about peanut butter and fluff sandwiches and cut up banana with chocolate chip cookies and milk
Owen: I think that sounds great why don't you go get the cookies from the pantry in the hallway and I'll get the bread,peanut butter, fluff spread and bananas okay
Quinn: Yup
Owen: So besides Zola getting hurt did you have fun at the park?
Quinn: I guess
Owen: Listen Quinn Aunt Jo told my she told me that you were talking to a girl she seemed to feel like you know the girl is she someone from school
Quinn: No
Owen: Okay then who is she

Quinn remains silent while quietly crying

Owen: (bends down to Quinn) Quinn it's okay you don't have to tell me right now if you don't want to but I hope that at some point that you can trust your mom and I okay ( Owen goes back to making sandwiches with Quinn beside him cutting up the banana's )

Quinn: (silently whispers) Her name is Claire she's my older sister
Owen: What
Quinn:When I was really little my mom told me that she got sick and so one day when I was in pre-K my mom took her to the hospital when I got back she said that my sister was too sick and weak and went flying up to the angels to be with my dad and little brother Elliot who had also gotten sick and today I found out that the first part is a lie and that my mom just left her there she has been in foster care ever since. I would really love to find out about brother too
Owen: (grabs Quinn into a hug) Listen Quinn it's going to be okay when mom gets back from work we can talk about it okay maybe we can work something out but for now let's make lunch for everyone okay
Quinn: Can you and mommy adopt her like you adopted me
Owen: I don't know baby but I'll talk to her about it when she gets home from work okay
Quinn: Okay

The rest of the day ran smoothly Amelia had to stay at the hospital extra late and wasn't able to get home before Quinn went to bed. I told her that we would talk about it tomorrow morning Amelia and I finally actually have a day off tomorrow well kind of I have the midnight shift so I don't have to go into work till after she goes to sleep so hopefully we work this whole thing out

Are they going to also try to adopt her older sister or does she already have a family that loves her
