Chapter Thirty Six

Amelia  (POV)
Today we get to find out the sex of the babies. We have decided on one name for each sex. So for a girl we really like Maisie Forbes for a boy we love Christopher Scott. Right now I am doing the last of laundry and as I am folding Quinn's clothes I come realize just how far Owen and I have come in just over a year. We got pregnant with twins if I may add, got engaged, and adopted the most amazing little girl she has taught me so much about life, love and most of all courage. And if you told me two years ago where I would be right now there is no way I would believe you.

Flashback
Last night I was was going down stairs to get a midnight snack when I heard sniffling coming from Quinn's room and when I entered her room I realized that she was crying I went to her bed and sat right next to her and asked if she was okay she told me she had a nightmare and that it felt so real that when she woke up she couldn't move. I then told her that when I was little when I had a bad dream my older brother Derek would bring me down stairs and make me a warm cup of milk with honey and how close this brought us I then asked her if she would like it if I did it for her she accepted when we got down stairs I told her how he was the only one there for me and when he died Owen was there for me a shoulder to cry on a hero to look for he gave me strength, courage and unconditional love and when we found out that I was pregnant I told him that if it was a boy we would name him Christopher to remember Derek and he told he wouldn't have it any other way and that that is how we came up with the name Christopher Scott. She then proceed to ask me if Derek would have liked her. I told her he would have loved her. When the milk was done heating up I asked her if she wanted me to read her a bed time story she said that she would love it. When she was done and we got up stairs I asked her what kind of story she would like she said she would like to hear a story about Derek and I. Trying to think of a good I decided to tell her of when Derek and I younger our family would go on these camping trips during the summer and how one time we were walking in the woods and Derek and I got separated from our family and we got lost and we ran into a group of boy-scouts and they helped us find our way back. We had made a lot of friends that night.
End of Flashback

I'm about to finish folding the laundry when I feel a flutter in my stomach at first I can't quite pin point what it is but then I realize it's the babies kicking I scream for Owen "Owen come here quick" he is running down the stairs " what's wrong is it the babies " I tell him " just come here " when he reaches me I grab his hand and put it on my stomach it takes a couple of minutes but I see a small grin starts to appear on his face he then tells me " Amelia that's the babies " I start laughing at how excited we are I never felt this with my unicornbaby it's an amazing feeling like a bunch of tiny butterflies are in your stomach. At that point Owen looks at me and tells me " Amelia you know what this means " I feel relieved this pregnancy is not like my first one I'm going to be able to bring the babies home with me this time I'm a little scared but I know that Owen will be there with me I look up at him I tell him that I love him he leans in and puts his arms around my waist or what's left of it and kisses me. His lips are soft and I feel this amazing feeling going through my whole body and I know that I'll never get tired of this.

Quinn ( POV )
I'm at Zola' s house right now her and I have become really close I found out that we are going to be at the same school next year I can't wait I never really been to a school before, my mom I mean my real mom never really took me to school. I have been at Zola's for a while after lunch Amelia and Owen who I now call mom and dad are going to pick me up and then we are going to the hospital for an appointment today we find out what she is having. I really can't wait to be a big sister. I'm going to teach them all sorts of things. Like reading tying their shoes and how to swim. Zola told me that having a little brother and sister it sometimes annoying but she loves them more than anything. She also told me that she was really close with her dad and she told me the story of how she was adopted. That she was really sent here to only have surgery and the moment her father held her in his arms she stopped crying for the first time in six months and when he heard this he knew right away that she was going to be his and Meredith's daughter this is when I really wish I had met him Zola, Bailey Ellis and I are watching Moana I really love it. It's lunch time now and Meredith made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with a side of sliced apples and a cookie she is not much of a cook so this is a lot for her to do by herself. She played some games with us, we also played soccer outside while Bailey and Ellis took their after lunch nap I really like Meredith she's amazing. Zola told me that our school has a soccer team and I should tryout which I really want to do not long after we finish our game of soccer Amelia and Owen came to pick me up. We'r in the car on the way to the hospital it's starting to rain what a surprise when we enter the hospital we walk over to the front desk Owen let's the woman behind the counter know our name we then sit down while we are waiting I tell them that I would really like to tryout for the soccer team they tell me that they'll discuss it but they also think that it will be a good idea for me to make more friends it's not long till a nurse comes out and calls out our name she leads us to a back room and tells us the doctor will be with us shortly. My mom sits up on the hospital bed. Alex and Jo are on shift today I really like them Alex and I have hung out yesterday he told me he was planning on proposing to Jo this weekend I told him he should. When they enter he instructs my mom to lay down and pull up her shirt which she does my dad squeezes out this gel which my mom says is really cold Jo then take s this wand like thing and moves it around my mom's stomach while Alex asked if we wanted to know the sex we tell him we do Jo is looking at this computer like and announces that one of the babies is a girl and very active and healthy we'r really excited and already know what we'r going to name her which is Maisie Forbes. It takes her awhile but then finally announces that the second baby is a boy which we decided to name him Christopher Scott he's a little bit bigger but Alex says that it is normal for a twin to be bigger than the other especially in the beginning. When we are done we head home I decided to take a nap and before I know it I'm dreaming about being a big sister.
