26. "It's always hard, Alex."

"Also, I would like to give you your first salary with a little bonus because of what you had to go through. And to make up for any mistake Harry might have already made," Zeno tells me and I move to the edge of my seat.

He can't be serious about Harry, can he? Also, I have only been here for nearly two weeks. I like to get paid, but I don't deserve a bonus.

"I can't except that," I say and shake my head because everything feels so wrong all of the sudden.

"I have transferred the money to your account, don't worry about it."

I'm so done with people telling me not to worry that I jump up. "I don't want your money," I say through gritted teeth. "I'll transfer it right back."

"It's not my money Lexie, you don't need to get all worked up about it," he laughs but I can't even give a small smile back.

Nothing about this conversation is funny to me, but I am glad he laughs it off. I was about to throw something at him.

"Okay," I sigh and I can't help but think that I am going to wire over the bonus to my dad although I know Harry was right – I don't need to pay his debts.

It just seems weird that he's giving me a bonus because someone died and I wonder if Harry will get anything. I doubt it.

"Is there anything else you want to talk about?" He wonders and I know he wants me to tell him something about Harry, but there's nothing there.

Harry has been nothing more than a gentlemen to me. Not someone who would assault me. If it wasn't for Harry and the way he keeps me busy, I probably would have been back with my dad by now.

"I was wondering if they already have identified him..."

"They have actually." The surprise is visible as he explains, maybe he didn't expect me to ask. "It usually takes a while before someone is reported missing since people fall asleep at various places. But he's back to Poland."

"Okay." I feel much better now I know he's back to his family although I try not to think about what they're going through right now.

"Was that all?" He stands up from his seat moving towards me.

"Yes." I nod copying his actions and stand awkwardly in front of him.

"Great, now if you ever need anything. You know where to find me now!" He smiles and pulls me in for a hug.

Like previous times it takes a bit too long before he releases me. I smile to him but am glad as he makes his way towards the door and straight to the front door. Theresa and Zayn wave to me and I return the favor. I turn to Zeno one last time who just grins to me before he closes the door.

I immediately take my phone to text Harry. He could have easily waited out for me, but I am glad he didn't. Now I have some time to think things through.

I really want to ask Harry about Rosie and if it is true, but I know he won't tell me. For some reason he once made the promise to not break promises and it is making it very hard for me to get to the bottom of this. I also don't trust one word coming out of Rosie's mouth, so asking he is also out of the question.

Then there is the possibility of talking to Kate who's close to Harry or Liam, who seems one of the few people of our group who cares about Rosie, but since Zeno doesn't want me to tell around, I am not sure if I can trust them.

Which leaves me with no other possibility then to follow my instincts and they have lead me to Harry all this time. And away from Rosie.

I'm nervous for Harry to arrive. He took me under his wing and I trust him, but there's this small, small part of me that started to doubt him, and I hate myself for it because he hasn't showed me anything to believe he did. Rosie, on the other hand, has given me plenty of prove that she would lie about something. I'm just not sure if anyone could lie about something so important.
