Harry wasn't kidding when he said that I would be going off some water slides. He is carrying me towards the back of the water park himself to prove his point. His theory is that I should start with the scariest one right away.

It must be a hilarious sight to see my protesting body dangling over his shoulder, but I don't feel like laughing at all. This wasn't the plan. The plan was to first swim and then sneak away to do this on my own. I was going to do it, but now every fiber in my body is screaming to not continue.

Unfortunately for me, Harry is rather strong and he holds me steady even though I kick and yell. He is unbothered, like so many other times, about my tantrums.

"Seriously Lex, quit it or I'll drop you to the floor," he hisses through his teeth. Maybe I have gained some pounds considering my diet and drinking habits here.

"Just put me down and I will obey you," I tell him equally as enjoyed.

"I'll put you down when we arrive okay?"

"Okay." I sigh. Why don't I win arguments with Harry?

"So have you heard from your boyfriend yet?"

"First of all, only an hour has passed, second I wouldn't know because some dude is carrying me giving me no access to my phone and third this isn't the moment or position to discuss this."

"You're right," he answers and I hear him sniffle at my words.

Finally he lets my feet touch the ground and I keep my hands on his shoulders as I let the blood flow back to my toes with my eyes closed. When I open them again I see sweat drip down from Harry's forehead to his cheeks.

"Am I that heavy?"

"Yes and we went up a hill so give me some credit," he says as he shakes his arms around his body.

The swimming pool where I did my test is very far below us and we are at the outside water park. No one followed us and I am glad they didn't. I might explode any moment. Harry drops both our bags to the grass and sits down to catch his breath. Instead of sitting down next to him I take off my clothes and put them next to him and walk straight to the stairs of this motherfucker.

Seriously, who ever invented water slides is an idiot. Your bathing suite gets all tied up in your arse. You get water in your nose. You might drown.

I remember the day when my father and I went to different pool than the one where he worked. It was supposed to be a fun day. I had just gotten all my swimming diplomas and my father believed that I was ready to explore the pool on my own. Having never gotten off a water slide before I went straight in.

Later we found out that the slide I choose was for older people, not for eight years old. That is why I hit the water so hard that the impact knocked me out and if it wasn't for the guy who saw it all happen, I would have drowned.

I don't remember much from it and as a true child I went off other slides that day, but the older I grew the more scared I got. Until one day I decided I wasn't going off another one ever again. The worst part is that that happened at the only birthday party I was ever invited too. It was at the same pool and slide and even though I was allowed to go off it now, I couldn't. I froze right in front of a huge line. It might be one of the most embarrassing moments of my life to walk down the stairs whilst being laughed at. That is not going to happen today.

The stairs are high and hurt my feet, but I continue without looking down to Harry. He probably thought that he could be one of those mean kids that never invited me again and laugh in my face, but I won't give him the pleasure. This is my fear and although Harry is woven through it all because of his persistence in kicking my fears to the curb. He has helped me for sure, but I am the one who has to do it.
