"You know that I really dislike Elena right?" Ava asks all of us.

"We all know that," Niall answers for her as we take the elevator to the seventh floor.

"After me and Louis made up outside, we saw Elena and Harry," she starts off ignoring Niall's whining that the elevator is slow. "We both thought there was something curious about the way Elena has been acting. Niall wasn't even allowed in car right?"

I remember the way she looked at Elena and how he slouched to our van. It really wasn't me who divided the group in two, she started it.

"She hates me because I once stood up for Lexie," he explains when the elevator pings.

"You did?"

"Yeah of course," Niall answers and my heart grows ten sizes. "We all would."

"Ava didn't," I counter back and she slaps my arm.

"Let me tell my story then please," she scolds and starts to walk out of the elevator following Louis who gave us the best room.

"Go on."

"I sensed something was up so I thought tonight was a good moment to talk to her. Yes, I went behind your back but I was just trying to find out what she's up to. She's no Rosie, no offense Liam-

Liam looks like he could care less as he leans against the wall with his eyes closed.

"But I think she can be quiet difficult, just a nasty girl. Well she was stupid enough to tell you all you needed to know. She thinks she's smart and then she goes off the Harry to whine about you. And to us."

"I don't care as long as I got your back," I tell her and she laughs.

"You are crazy if you think I don't have your back by now, girl." I grin back to her because I really am crazy for thinking only a slight moment that Ava wouldn't stand up for me. "Do you believe me?"

"Of course," I say to her. "Party pooper."

"Deserved that one," she smiles over her shoulder as we all push are bodies and bags through the door curious to what the room has to offer.

There's a large bathroom to our left, a singular toilet to our right. The room holds four beds and a couch with bed linen on it.

"I'll get the couch," I say and they all let their breath go. "But gunshot on the bath!"

Half an hour later I am so fresh and so clean that I could perform surgery. With a clean sleeping gown on I enter the room where Liam is snoring next to Niall. Louis is waiting for his turn in the shower.

"Thanks honey," I deadpan because I let him wait a long time. I look around the place to find Ava but don't see her. "She's outside on the balcony."

"Oh okay. Enjoy the shower, it is the best I ever had."

I find Ava outside smoking a cigarette with her legs resting on the reeling. "Hey girl, cooled off?"

"Yes," I answer her and sit down next to her. The view from here breathtaking as we watch the lake and dark mountains. It is shame we will have to leave tomorrow.

"I made your bed," she says and I know she is trying to make up for earlier.

"It's okay Ava. I believe you weren't going behind my back."

"I just felt the need to protect you from her, but you don't need protecting. You are badass!" She exclaims and pounds her fist on the table. "The way you stood up for yourself was amazing. Loved it."
