38. "But stop clinging to me."

"The question of the night is though, how the hell did you manage to win Nothing over while spending every minute of your waking day with me?" I ask Harry after we sit down on the balcony with two filled plates.

"I fed him," he says shrugging his shoulders.

"You fed him,' I repeat stunned.

"Yeah. That's what I do apparently," he mutters looking to his plate still full of food that I made.

"Well, tonight you didn't. I fed you!"

"It is a Christmas miracle," he deadpans before taking another bite. I watch him swallow it, his eyes fluttering up to mine.

"It is good, right?" I boast of confidence. Spaghetti bolognaise is my specialty. I have watch my father eat it countless times and now I get to see Harry savor it.

"Hmm," he hums, agreeing with me and we eat our plates empty without saying another word.

When I take the plates back to the little kitchenette, Harry follows me. "Want to go to Private tonight?"

"Do I look like I am going out?" I say and his eyes travel down to the old shirt and sweatpants I am wearing.

"Yes?"

"I was intending on staying in and sleep."

"Bo-ring," he sing songs and I feel like throwing the plate from my hands to his face. "It is just a laidback get together thing. Don't need to wear a fancy dress for it."

"Thank god I didn't put on my nonexistent ball gown then."

"Thank god," he agrees while grinning to me. He knows that he always wins these arguments with me.

Back home I have won numerous negations with James about going to the club, cinema, pub or whatever place he had found out about. Why it is so easy for Harry to persuade me is a mystery. I would always tell James I had to do laundry, look after my father, or was tired from work. Here all of that doesn't seem to matter. So nothing is going to stop me now.

"I'll go. Only for a little while."

So off we are, through the rocks that I now have mastered, on to the little sand beach that is filled with around thirty people. The first one I notice there is Rosie, the second is Liam, and the third is a very hyper Louis blinding my sight from seeing anyone else.

"She came!" He yells to Harry then pulls me in for a hug.

"I did," I say to both men, not that they are listening to me. They go in to their own conversation as soon as Louis releases me, trailing to the group sitting in the sand.

In a much slower pace I follow them, not feeling the need to get sand all over my clean clothes and body. I worked hard today to get sand-free. Yet Harry, with less words every time, convinced me to come here.

After the night Rosie and I had I wonder how she is going to react. She looks completely normal now, sipping out of a cup, slightly leaning against Liam who also looks better than the last time I saw him. Which doesn't feel like it was this morning. Days are long here in Palas. Feeling brave, I greet them and sit down next to them. Without Harry and Louis to talk to, they are the second best option.

Harry and Louis have joined Josh and Elena, who for some reason I dislike even more now that I know she wants Harry. Of course it was sort of obvious because she made comments about me and Harry a couple of times. Her interest in him shining through. I wonder if she already had her chance with him, considering he only does the deed once.
