December 29- Please Don't Tell (6)

"You wanted to see me, sir?" Jeff asked, walking into the Dean's office.

He smiled. "Mr. Sterling, this is Zoey. Zoey, this is Jeff Sterling."

Jeff greeted the girl, shaking her hand. It took him a moment to realize what she was wearing.

She was wearing a Dalton Blazer. He felt himself grin.

"Jeff, I'd like you to show Zoey around, make her feel welcomed."

"Of course, sir."

"Alright, what are you so happy about?" Zoey asked him as they left the office.

"How'd you get in?" he asked her. "Did you just apply?"

She shrugged. "Pretty much. I just moved here and my parents heard Dalton is a great school so they enrolled me in it. They want me to have the best education."

His smile was even wider. "You're the first non-male student Dalton has had. Well, that we know of. That's what I'm so happy about."

"Alright, then. How girl deprived are you prep school boys?"

Jeff laughed. "No, I have a boyfriend. A lot of us are gay, and pretty much all of the straight guys are respectful, as far as I know. Hunter- he's bi- will most definitely hit on you, just tell him firmly to back off and he will. Like, I suppose you don't have to be firm, exactly, but make it clear that you're telling him to back off and not playing hard-to-get."

She nodded. "Good to know."

He showed her around, definitely taking a liking to her.

"Last but not least, the commons. Pretty much a lounge area. If you don't want to get sucked into a game of truth or dare or paranoia, avoid it on Friday nights."

"Oh, Jeff, I meant to–" they stopped short.

Jeff was sure his face would split in half from his grin. "Wes, this is Zoey, she just transferred here. Zoey, this is Wes."

"It's nice to meet you," Wes said, shaking her hand.

She smiled. "Yeah, you too. I'm going to head up to my dorm, Jeff, I'll meet you here before dinner?"

"Sounds good."

Zoey left and Jeff immediately started giggling as Wes stared at him in disbelief.

"She just enrolled here!" he said. "No struggle or anything! And you know what that means..."

Wes shook their head. "Okay, best news I've received all month. What about the Warblers? They're a band of brothers, they don't..."

"Well, we'll find out. She's interested in joining."
