Boardwalk
Connie walks with Alex to the Big Donut. "Steven was the one that really got me hooked on the Big Donut." She says opening the door for him.

"I thought you didn't want to think about Steven." Alex says in an accusing tone.

"Hi ma- Dewey!" She greets the former Mayor. She still almost says mayor every time she greets him.

"Two Dewey's." She says while pointing at glazed donuts. She pays and they walk around the boardwalk. She sees Steven buying fry bits.

Instead of saying hi to him she grabs Alex's hand and hides in the Arcade.

"Who's that?" He asks letting go.

"Who's who?" Connie asks while casually putting a quarter into a machine.

"Oh my gosh, you like him!" Alex says peeking out.

"What no!" She says defensively.

"No way. You're blushing." He points out.

C: "That's Steven."
A: "That's Steven. He's so old, he looks 17."
C: "He's 16. And you're older than me too."
A: "By a year. Anyway, I can see why you like him. He's a cutie."
C: "He's not cute."
A: "Say's you. Hey, if he doesn't like you I'm shooting my shot... is what I would say if I was single."

Alex walks to Steven. "Hey Steven, I'm Alex." He says.

Connie runs after him. "Oh there you are Alex." She says with nervous laughter. "Hi Steven." She says awkwardly.

"Any who I'd better go call my mom real quick." Alex says while jabbing Connie in the ribs.

Connie and Steven look at each other awkwardly. "You look nice." He says. Connie couldn't help but blush.

"Thanks." Connie says. "Um you look good as usual." She continues trying to avoid an awkward silence.

"How has your day been?" Steven asks.

"Well it was going pretty bad thinking about- things... so I invited Alex from Space Camp to hang out." She replies.

Alex reappears from eavesdropping. "You know Steven, Connie tells me your 16. You should probably start dating soon. Personally I started at 14." He says.

"Okay. It's been nice talking Steven." She says while pushing Alex away from talking anymore.

C: "Alex!"
A: "You guy's needed a push." He says while lightly pushing her.

Steven stood there awkwardly and decided to walk home, thinking. Ugh, she hates me. He thought to himself.

As he's walking past his father's Car Wash his dad calls him over. "Hey Stuball what's up? You look troubled." Greg asks.

"Ah nothing". Steven replies. Sitting down.

"Lay it on your old man." Greg coaxes.

"Na, I don't really wanna talk about it." Steven replies.

"So it's about girls. I mean I was expecting-." He starts.

"Dad! I said I don't wanna talk about it." Steven repeats embarrassed.

They sat in comfortable silence while looking up at the stars.

Steven wakes up. "Aww man, how long was I out?" He asks his father.

"A few hours but you looked so tired, I didn't want to disturb you. Connie stopped by a few minutes ago." Greg says.

"What'd she say?" Steven asks desperately.

"She said she'll just talk to you later and walked home." He explains.

"She walked home?!" Steven asks.

"I mean there's still a bit of light out, and she looked like she had a lot on her mind." Greg said.

Steven grabs his dads keys and dashes to his blue car. "Dad can I borrow this?" He asks.

"Uh sure bud." He says and Steven drives away.

He drives looking diligently for Connie and sees her on a bench napping.

He gets out of the car and wakes her up. "Connie?" He says while lightly shaking her.

Connie snaps away dazed and then annoyed with herself for falling asleep

"Hey Steven. Thanks for waking me up." She says groggily.

"Connie that's dangerous. Please be more careful." He lectures.

"You're right. I barely slept last night." She says sitting up.

She yawns and stretches having her head lean on the back of the bench.

"Connie- don't... do that again in front of guys." Steven says annoyed and quickly.

"Steveeeeen!" Connie says blushing. She pushes him lightly knowing what he was talking about.

Steven blushes and says, "let me drive you home."

Connie nods and they get inside the car. Once at her house she saves goodbye.
