Steven + Connie Falling for my Bestfriend

Stressed Out

I'm slowly killing myself writing this again. Wish my patience good luck. (After finishing this it came out way differently than before, but I like it enough.)

*From last chapter Steven was telling Connie he missed her and had his head on her collarbone*

Steven's House
"I missed you too Steven," Connie says laughing at his breath tickling her skin.

"You'd better get up before my parents come," Connie warns.

"Get your mind out the gutter Connie," Steven says laughing tickling her even more.

"You're so annoying, you know that?" She says joking touching his hair.

"You're too serious sometimes." He says standing straight hearing her parent's car.

"Bye Steven, see you later." She says hugging him.

"I love you~" He whispers in her ear.

"I love you too." She says getting into her parent's car.

Steven floats back to his house smiling widely and still blushing.

"Go Steven!" Garnet cheers as he enters.

"Yes congratulations!" Pearl encourages.

Amethyst shapeshifts into Connie and makes kissing noises.

"Knock it off," Steven says annoyed throwing a pillow from the couch at her.

"I love you so much! Give me kisses to feel better with your magic spit. Maybe if we do it so much it'll reverse my aging. Or make me glow." Amythest says fanning herself.

"That's not even possible," Steven says walking towards his room.

"And next time. Do not stare at us please, and no future spying, it's weird." Steven adds shuttering.

"Aww, cmon. It's your first kiss with Connie it's very important." Amethyst complains.

"We've kissed before...kinda. And it's special to me, not to you three." He says before finishing going up the stairs.

School
"Hi Alex," Connie says sitting down.

"Oh, are you talking to me? After you ghosted me yesterday." He says crossing his arms.

"Aw, don't be mad. My phone died. And I was being held against my will on another planet." Connie says patting his back.

"Sounds fun. But you know what's even better?" He asks. "Work!" He says putting a pile of the work she missed on her desk.

"Thanks... you shouldn't have," Connie says groaning.

"How's your project going?" She asks.

"Oh, awful. Angelica is refusing to do any work." Alex answers.

"I guess I should talk to Kayla about ours."

"Good luck soldier," Alex says.

"Hey, Kayla." Connie greets trying to seem positive.

"Finished our project?" She asks.

"No..." Connie answers.

"Well you were gone yesterday, so I could only assume that's what you were working on."

"Why would I do this entire thing myself?" Connie asks.

"I don't know, cuz people like you like to do work?" Kayla answers.

"People like me? I'm done." Connie says walking towards the teacher frustrated.

"Hi, Connie. Need the makeup work from yesterday?" Ms. Anderson asks.
