Steven + Connie Falling for my Bestfriend

Fun During the Weekend

Wow, I'm sorry I've taken this long to post. I have a bunch of ideas now but was stuck on this chapter with the worse writers block.

Stevens house
The gems were all waiting for Steven and planning out activities to play. There was lots of, conflicting ideas, and everyone was relived when Steven finally arrived so he could be the mediator that he is.

"Guess who's here?" Steven says giving jazz hands to show off Spinel.

"Just little ol' me!" Spinel says walking towards the group.

After giving everyone a huge hug they all gathered in the fort.

"Okay Steven. We came up with uno, karaoke, movies, baking a cake, and playing hide and go seek. You can pick the best." Connie says.

"Why don't we... start with some karaoke, watch a movie, and bake a cake." Steven suggests.

Everyone murmurs in agreement. "If we finish those and I'm not tired we can do the others." He adds.

"I'll go find a karaoke machine. Your dad probably has one." Connie says standing up.

"Can Spinel read English? There are no gem translations yet." Pearl asks.

"Nope." Spinel answers.

"Hmm. Well I'm gonna go home for a minute and ask my mom to stay the night." She says walking out of the fort.

"It's kind of dark so-" Steven starts.

"Be careful? I will." Connie says walking towards the front door.

"I was gonna say don't fall asleep like you always somehow manage to do." He says waving goodbye.

"It was one time." She murmurs to herself walking out of the house.

"Well,  while we wait for Connie let's eat some snacks." Amythest says walking towards the counter.

"You eat these?" Spinel asks not far behind her.

"If you want to. Amethyst eats, while Pearl doesn't, and Garnet occasionally." Steven explains.

"Do you eat this?" Spinel asks pointing at the snacks.

"Yea!" Steven answers.

After getting confirmation from Steven, Spinel grabbed a candy bar and attempted to put it into her mouth.

"Wait! Like this." Steven says stopping her and  showing her the correct way.

"You take the wrapper off of a lot of foods. That's what we're eating." He explains.

Spinel makes an ohh face and they return to the fort with a couple snacks for later.

"What will we do first?" Pearl asks.

"We should get in the appropriate attire." Garnet says standing up.

"Good idea." Steven says following her lead.

"Guess it's kinda good Connie's gone or Steven would be all red." Amethyst jokes getting up.

"I see her in clothes all the time." Steven says slightly annoyed. Her teasing was getting irritating.

"Red? Like the color?" Spinel asks.

"Yes or sometimes other colors. It happens to your face when your embarrassed, mad, and happy, but mostly flustered." Pearl elaborates.

Steven, a bit flushed, happily changes the subject. "I'm gonna go get dressed. You guys help Spinel if she needs it."

"Steven you can make your clothes organicly?" Pearl questions.
