I've just thought of something... if Steven's off-grid, no birth certificate, passport, etc. How the frick did he get a driver's license? We know from Pearl in Last One out of Beach City aka Mystery Women episode, you need those documents to get a license. So... how did Steven get one? If he doesn't have one, he's just got to hope he doesn't get pulled over by the police. Anyway, I'm pulling that random excuse the producers made in how he gets enrolled in school. Goodbye folks, that's my TedTalk.

"Let's go somewhere, anywhere!" The toddler pleads to the teenager at her desk focusing on something she didn't understand.

"Lucky for you we had to get going anyway," Connie mumbles before closing her textbook.

"Well, mom and dad are working so how are we going to get there?" Connie asks. "We should just go on Lion."

"No way!" Amina says crossing her arms.

"I only have a permit, so I can't drive without an adult in the car, and Steven can't drive with minors in the car just yet."

"Oh come on, if Steven gets stopped by the police just have him shapeshift." Amina groans rolling her eyes.

"And your car seat?" The protective one asks.

"Let's just go on Lion," Amina says caving from annoyance.

"I've never met anyone who's such a stickler for the rules."

"You've met my mother," Connie says fully offended.

"I'm giving you my sound-canceling headphones because you listening to me and mom is making the vocabulary rub off."

"You know... somehow back home would be better than this," Amina says after being helped down from Lion by Connie.

"Aww cmon, you like Steven."

"Yea I do, but not when he's with you. THen you're both... annoying."

"Aww, she loves us," Steven says wrapping Amina in a not so reciprocal hug.

Steven then met Connie with a tight hug that she accepted graciously.

"Connie... you know the gems are out doing whatever excuse they created this time. I have no one to hang out with." Amina whined.

"You have us," Steven says walking towards the dining room table.

"Here Amina this lesson can be useful to you too," Connie says sitting down next to Steven.

"If it's calculus I'm out of here." She warns pulling out a seat from the table and moving it before next to Connie.

"Okay, I know you two can be a bit... socially awkward."

"Whattttt," Steven says getting an agreement mhm from Amina.

"It's okay, I use to have really bad anxiety when I was younger, and I still have some."

"You've never told me that," Steven says hurt definitely evident in his voice.

"I mean you were going up against so much stuff, all the time. I couldn't worry you with little things going on in my life." She explains trying to give him peace of mind.

"But onto the point-"

"Would you have told me about Jeff?" He asks, clearly, he was still thinking about it.
