Steven + Connie Falling for my Bestfriend

At school
Luckily Alex moved to the same school as Connie which shouldn't have been a surprise because there are not that many schools near Beach City. 

"I don't know what to do Alex." Says Connie after explaining the events of yesterday.

"Boys never get hints Connie. You just have to make the first move." Alex advises.

"I guess you're right." Connie says.

"Sooo tells me about him." Alex says.

"Well... he's a crystal gem. He's very caring. A little too caring in my option. He's always a gentleman." Connie says kinda of daydreaming.

"What's a crystal gem?" Alex asks.

"It's kinda like a superhero. He has his "powers" from his gem. And him and his friends save the city." Connie explains.

"You think a guy like that would go out with someone like you?" Angelica asks.

She's always been rude to Connie. So she got pretty used to ignoring her.

After school Connie called Steven to confirm if he still wanted to hang out.

"Steven?"

"Yea? I'm on my way."

"Okay cool!"

Unfortunately their conversation wasn't very private with Angelica listening behind her.

Connie decides to go back into the school and get dressed out of her uniform while waiting for Steven.

Walking out of the school once again she saw Angelica talking to Steven.

They were really close and Angelica was laughing at something Steven said.

Connie smiles meekly at Steven and puts her backpack into the backseat.

Connie stands by Steven and he grabs her waist and pulls her closer to him.

"You look really pretty." Steven whispers behind her ear sending shivers down Connie's spine.

Steven and Connie whispered to each other while tuning out Angelica.

"Um hello? Steven? Steveeen?" Angelica called.

"Oh sorry Angelica. What were you saying?" Steven asks.

"Have you been listening? Or talking to your sister?" She asks.

"Um actually Angelica we have to go." Connie says while entering the car.

"That's Connie for you. Would you like to come?" Steven asks to Angelica before entering the car.

Steven moves closer to Connie having her think he was going to kiss her. She closes her eyes.

"Done." Steven says. He put on her seat belt.

"Why'd you close your eyes?" He asks.

"Oh um no reason. Something was in my eye." She says laughing nervously.

Angelica opens the car door and sits in the backseat.

"Angelica why are you here?" Connie asks annoyed.

"I invited her." Steven says.

Connie unbuckles her seat belt and whispers to Steven.

"I'm not hanging out with her. I don't know why you invited her."

"Come on. We were rude to her earlier and I felt bad leaving her."

"Now you have to hang out with her. Drop me off home." Connie tells him.

"You guys are so mean." Angelica says to them about their private conversation.

"Here you can have the front seat." Connie says getting of the car into the backseat.

"This is more like it!" Angelica says getting out to trade places as well.

Steven adjust the mirror to look at Connie who looked annoyed on her phone.

Steven and Angelica had a pleasant conversation that Connie mostly tuned out.

When Steven got to Connie's house she got out silently. Not saying goodbye to either of them.

Her parents weren't home and she just did her homework trying to cool down.

"What's her deal?" Angelica asks.

"She's just upset with me." Steven says.

"She does this type do stuff at school. Could you believe she has a crush on you?" Angelica says laughing.

Steven blushes and smiles.

"She's probably jealous of me. I'll talk to her at school." Angelica says.

"So what do you want to do?" Angelica asks.

Honesty Steven wanted to go back to Connie's house.

"U-Um we can go wherever you want to." Steven says.

He gets a call. "Excuse me." He answers and it's Pearl telling him to come home for a mission.

"I'm sorry Angelica let me drop you off home I have to go." Steven says apologetically.

"It's okay. It's probably one of the times you save the city. Connie told me." Angelica says.

Connie walks into the school and heads into first period with Alex. Science a class they both were taking as an 11th grade course.

Meaning Angelica was there.

"Hey Connie!" Alex greeted.

"You're early." Connie says.

"For once. What happened with Steven." He says wiggling his eyebrows.

"Nothing. He hung out with Angelica." Connie says disappointingly.

"Speak of the devil." Alex says as Angelica approaches them.

"Me and Steven had soooo much fun yesterday. We really got to know each other. He said it's perfectly normal you'd be jealous of me." Angelica said with a wink.

"Steven said that?" Connie asks not believing that.

"Yup!" Angelica says.
