Steven + Connie Falling for my Bestfriend

No Deal

It was night time now. Connie was still awake after telling Steven to go to sleep. She got up and snuck around the forest looking for the gem that called the shots.

She found her holding the gems. "Who's there?" The gem asks.

"Oh, it's the human." She says.

"Oh, it's the gem." Connie replies.

"Why are you here?" Connie asks.

"I originally came here for Rose Courts. But ever since I found out that she is a he now, I'm back to square one."

"Square one of what?" Connie asks not really scared anymore. If she wanted to hurt her she would have done it.

"I'm looking for a queen. On my planet I'm to be ruler. Just because the Diamonds aren't being rulers anymore doesn't mean that we don't want one." He explained.

"Well good luck with that. I'd like my friends back. None of them want to be in a relationship with you." Connie says putting her hand out.

"And why's that? I'm so smart I figured out how to manipulate gems. If our bodies are made of light and our bodies form a mass-dependent on the amount of air pressure and level of gravity in the environment. So if I take away the gravity for gems but not other organic life forms such a trees and humans only gems will be affected. But that also means I have to figure out a way not to disturb this gravity-"

"Forget it. Humans like you would not understand what I'm talking about." The gem says cutting herself off.

"The way not to disturb this gravity meaning you had to create a whole new gravity for gems to return to the gems and not affect anything else's. But why?" Connie asks.

"Alright, maybe you do understand. If I'm to find a queen I have to make sure they don't run away."

"If they want to run away they don't want to be with you. My friends please." Connie says again reaching out her hand.

"You better be lucky my Amethyst aren't here."

Connie punches the gem causing her to pass out, she definitely was not skilled for combat. Connie tried to carry her but didn't get far. She looked to be around 5'9 and was too heavy for Connie.

Connie sighs to herself and grabs the gems then quickly runs to wake up Steven.

"Steven. Get up quickly!" Connie says.

Steven complies asking no questions and they run to still see the gem's body on the floor.

"You punched her?" Steven asks.

Connie nods and they put the gem onto the warp pad together.

"Crap I forgot you don't have your powers." Connie says thinking of ways to get out.

The warp pad activates with Bismuth, Lapis, and Peridot falling on Steven, the gem, and Connie.

"Owww. This is perfect! Guys warp us to the barn." Connie says happily ignoring her previous pain.

Everybody gets up groaning and they warp to the barn.

Steven woke up and went downstairs getting ready to go to the barn. The gems still weren't awake and his gem powers were still not working.

Once he was ready he got into the car his dad gave him for his birthday a month ago and drove to the barn.

When he got there he saw Bismuth, Lapis, Peridot, and lion.

He was first greeted by Peridot and then the others.

"Where's the gem?" Steven asks.

"Well her name is Gneiss. She hasn't said much as to how to fix the gems. Connie just got here too. I think she's talking to her now." Bismuth tells Steven.

"Periodot is working on how to fix the gems now." Lapis says.

Steven walks inside the barn and sees Connie talking to Gneiss.

He walks over to Connie and she looks at him and gives him a hug. "Steven! How have you been doing? Are you hurt?" She asks she asks backing away from the hug touching his face motherly.

"I'm fine Berry." Steven answers.

"Has she said anything?" Steven asks.

"I've said plenty. My people need me to return quickly and you are holding me up. I need a queen and you're holding up my search." Gneiss says.

"Why don't we help you find someone nonviolently and you help fix the gems." Steven suggest.

"That's almost as absurd as me saying a human- which is not, well." Gneiss stops speaking and thinks talking infractions.

"If I can make a gem go inside of their gem can't I make a human into a gem? It could be risky." Gneiss thinks out loud.

"That's still very risky and could kill the human." Connie says with Steven agreeing.

"But all risks can lead to a solution. If you do not trust me, you could assist." Gneiss says annoyed.

"I'm no good with that type of stuff." Steven replies.

"Exactly why I wasn't asking you uhh Steven. Berry, you could be a dear and help me." Gneiss asks sweetly to Connie.

"My name is Connie and I'm not being a dear I'm only helping so that you don't do it yourself and kill someone." Connie says flatly.
