Namjoon couldn't remember how he got back to his chamber. The last thing he remembered was his mother standing over him, laughing like the world was at her feet. No, she wasn't his mother. She was only the person who gave birth to him and didn't want anything to do with him except using him as leverage in court. He also remembered the lavender pouch was in her hand and that's why he passed out. He blinked, unmoving from the floor in his room. Tomorrow would be the full moon, and if he doesn't break the curse, he would disappear. He had already accepted that fact, but he couldn't bring you with him. You deserve happiness and love from someone who was much more capable than him.

His legs twitched, but it wouldn't move. Just then. His door swung open, and he saw the brightest star in the night sky. Your cheeks had color and you wore the red hanbok that he fell in love with. The red bow was bouncing at the end of your braided hair. "Y/N," he called out. "You're okay."

You gave him a lazy glance then took your time waltzing over to him. It was as if you were enjoying the fact that he was immobilized and powerless. "That's Lady Song to you." you said coldly. Namjoon frowned, remembering clearly that you told him to call you by your name instead just a few days ago. He told himself that the smoke must have changed some of your memories, but he knew right away you were not his Y/N. It was the same hair, the same rosy lips, but your eyes were darker and lacked the kindness you had for him.

"Please help me up." he begged.

"And why would I do that?" you scoffed. "I am a noble lady, I will not touch your peasant hand. Even if you are a prince now, you'll still be the orphan boy that I will never care for." The ice sent shivers down Namjoon's back. He never imagined those words coming out of your mouth. He knew you would reject him if he ever confessed again, but not like this. Not with the same red bow he loves so much.

"Y/N, no Lady Song, are you okay?" he asked. "This isn't like you."

"Of course, I feel great." you cheered. "This is exactly how I am, you should know this, Namjoon. And now that I no longer have to pretend to put up with you, I feel much better."

"Why? What happened? I thought we were starting over?"

"Starting over? Me and you?" you laughed, the sound echoed through the room, deafening him. "You're much stupider than I thought. I only came on this trip to find the witch and have her make Seokjin fall in love with me. My heart belongs to him only, and forever."

Namjoon bit back his tears. He felt utterly foolish for believing you could move on from the young master. But in the times you were with Namjoon, he really thought he could be at least a replacement. The door sung opened again, and his mother rushed in with her blanket of shadows. She knelt down at your feet, face flushed and eyes red. "Please, Lady Song, please help my son break the curse."

Namjoon grew even more confused, he could have sworn that she was the reason he was lying here in the first place. But her face showed true remorse and sadness, maybe she regretted it. You pushed her hands off of you. "Why would I?"

"I'll give you anything you want," his mother cried. "You're the only one who can. His feelings are you are stronger than my motherly bond with him."

"Then I guess you'll have to watch him die. Good riddance, in my opinion." you added. "He's nothing to me and he will never be. And you can't do anything to me because I have your sister's protection."

"Then why did you come here?" Madam Li retorted. It was the same thing Namjoon wanted to ask, but no longer had the strength to.

"For what else other to see his suffering." you answered. "I've been waiting for it since the day he ripped my dreams from me. I would have been a happy bride by now if it weren't for him."

"You're a terrible person," his mother barked.

"I know." you smiled. With one last glance at Namjoon, you spun and headed for the door. Namjoon reached out in a silent cry, but the door had already closed.

"I'm sorry, my son. I couldn't do anything for you." Madam Li sighed. The tears had dried from her eyes.

"You were the one that crushed the pouch and made me like this. Why are you pretending to care about me?"

She smile dropped and her eyes sharpened like a snake, "Because as you can see, I am the only one who can save you now."

"What happened to Y/N?" he asked. "Why would she say those things?"

"That's who she really is, my dear." Madam Li explained, helping Namjoon stand up to his feet. At the touch of her hand, his body moved lightly. "She paid your aunt a handsome amount to remove her from the curse. I'm sorry, my son, but you were still stuck with it."

"Then I will disappear tomorrow." he stared blankly at the ceiling. That was his fate after all, he should accept it.

"Not exactly." Madam Li interjected, "I could make more of that potion, to restore your body and it will help you live even after the full moon."

"But you won't give it to me unless I accept your offer."

"Correct."

"There's no point for me to accept that now, she's gone."

Madam Li circled him and lifted his chin up with her slender finger. "But you could bring her back, make her pay for what she did to you. Or you could make her fall in love with you, just like you've always wanted."

Her words were sweet, as usual. And slowly, Namjoon felt his will slipping from him. That was what he wanted, for you to love him and be his. He has nothing to lose now. He just wanted you. Before he agreed, he heard someone calling out to him. And his eyes grew when he heard what he had been waiting for.
