"Happy Birthday, Beautiful!"- I hugged my mom tight as soon as I arrived at the house.
Maaga akong nagising para dumeretso agad sa school to submit my other requirements so that after lunch, I could go straight to the house. Gusto ko ring tumulong para magluto ng mga paboritong pagkain niya. Her birthday is not that grand or special, she just want a simple celebration with me and other people that were so close to her.
Nag-iisa akong anak nila Mommy tsaka Daddy, kaya ako na lang ang inaasahan ni Mom na makakasama niya ngayong birthday niya. Dad's currently on a business trip, he can't make it here, so I will do my best to make my Mom happy today.
"Thank you, handsome."- I kissed her on the cheek then smiled widely.
I handed her my gift as she accepted it with full of joy. Mas lalong lumapad 'yong ngiti ko sa tuwing nakikita ko 'yong ina ko na masaya. I just love her so much, not because she's my mother, but because she's always there for me.
Lumapit siya sa'kin at sinenyasan akong yumuko kaya sinunod ko siya. May binulong siya sa'kin.
"How about the other gift you were saying yesterday?"
Kumunot 'yong noo ko dahil sa tanong niya pero nakuha ko rin naman 'yong gusto niyang iparating.
"Let's wait her together, Mom."- I whispered to her also.
She giggled that made me chuckled. Inakbayan ko siya't sinamahan siya saglit sa living room. Nanood muna kami ng movie doon habang hinihintay pa 'yong ibang bisita ni Mommy. Hindi naman ako 'yong may birthday, pero inutos sa'kin ni Mommy na imbitahan lahat ng kaibigan ko. She did not invited some of her amigas, friends or what so ever.
My mother doesn't want a lot of people inside our house and attending a crowded place such as party and malls. Kapag may bibilhin lang siya na gustong-gusto niya, nagpapasama siya sa'kin, kagaya na lang noong bumili siya ng beauty products ni Amara.
'She's really addicted to it, indeed.'
"TITAAAAAA! HAPPY BIIIIRTHDAAAAAY!"
We both turned our heads to see the direction of Claire's place. She's running while spreading her arms.
"Waaaaah! Claireeeee!"- my Mom stood up and spread her arms also to welcome Claire.
Nagyakapan sila bago binigay ni Claire 'yong regalo niya sa Mommy ko kaya tumayo na rin ako para lumapit sa kanila.
To tell you frankly, my Mom hated this girl when she find out what happened. She put the blame on her and said that she was the reason why Amara and I broke up. But, knowing my Mom, she really have a soft heart. Tinuro niya sa'king 'wag magtanim ng galit sa kapwa, kaya inasahan ko nang magkakaayos rin sila.
She gave her another chance, that's why Claire promised to my Mom that she will do her best to help me bring back Amara.
"I'm glad you came, Claire."- my Mom stated while smiling.
"Syempre naman po, Tita Thea.. I would rather forget my name, but not your birthday."- Claire never failed to amazed my Mom with her words.
Isa 'yon sa dahilan kaya nagbati sila ni Mommy, through her fancy words. Natatawa ako lagi kapag nakikita ko silang dalawang gano'n.
"Sorry to interrupt your sweet talks, but Claire, please stay with my Mom.. Magluluto lang ako."
"Sure thing, Miguel."- I tapped her shoulder before they walked in the living room.
