Chapter 41 - Court Day

(A/N- I don't know how court works so just work with it)

1st November 2019

Colby's P.O.V

We all walk in and sit, Corey is told to go first.

"So. Why should Jake Webber go to jail?" The judge asks.

"You honor, I don't know if you've been told... but my sister is in a coma and has been for 3 months. All because this man over there, tied her up to a tree and started to bash her till her head split open and bruises all over her. She just started to heal after him raping her and cutting her up. I'm surprised we didn't tell the cops. That's where we all messed up. It really took till her nearly at death for us to do something about this. I speak on behalf of my friends and family when I say jail is not enough for what this man has done. Thank you your honor." He says sitting back down.

"May I add your honor" our lawyer asks. She nods.

"If we have a look at the criminals, criminal record, it says he has stolen $23k worth of items, killed 2 other people, raped 7 people, boys and girls, he is a criminal and the police have let him off every time. Do you think after all this information about the criminal, he shouldn't go to jail? Thank you." He sits down.

"OBJECTION" Jakes Lawyer calls out

"Received" She says.

"How do we know my client Jake has done all this. Where is your proof" He says. The judge looks at Terry who is our lawyer.

"This paper work from the police station in California." he says giving the papers to the judge.

All this goes on for hours. It's my turn to come up as witness.

"Do you solemnly swear that the answers you are about to give, touching upon your qualifications to serve as witness in this case now, will be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help you God?" the man says to me,. I nod yes.

I sit at the stand. "So Mr Brock, what do you have to say about the situation?" Jake's lawyer asks.

"Well... Laura and I we've been together for 7 months even though 3 of those months shes been in a coma. This year has been hard for her. She's been hospitalized more then 3 times. 1 because of health and 1 because of an animal bit and 2 because of this man, there have been many other times but these ones are the main ones that hurt. I'm not going to lie not that I as intending to... but... I was planning on proposing to her when we came back from our trip. Yes we've been together for only 4-5 months at the time but I've never loved someone more then I love her. I'd be lost without her. She doesn't deserve to get hurt over Jake's jealousy. She did not deserve all this." I say tears forcing there way out.

"Thank you Mr Brock" She says signalling me to go back to my seat.

"Does anyone wish to say anything before sentence is imposed?" She says.

"Your honor" Tara raises her hand.

"What would you like to say?"

"This man your about to sentence to jail is my boyfriend, look at how it will effect me and his family if he goes to jail."

"Because your being selfish I would like to hear what the jury has to say."

"Your honor. We all have voted guilty and suggested he goes to jail for 52 years and his girlfriend can have a day in jail because of her selfishness." The head of the jury says.

Tara's face just looks like "wtf why I did nothing tf" I hold back laughter. The judged banged her hammer thing saying Jake Webber sentenced to jail for 52 years and Tara Yummy sentence to jail for a 24 hours"

"May I request something?" Jake asks and she nods.

"Can Tara please not go to jail. I'll go to jail for longer?" The judge thinks about it and doesn't agree.

"Jake Webber jailed for 52 years and Tara Yummy sentence to jail for 24 hours" She says hitting the hammer thing down twice.

"Court dismissed" She says getting up and leaving.

"Once I'm out I'll kill you all." Jake says as he walks passed with the police.

We all walk out and Laura's family choose to go visit Laura.

We all go to visit Laura.
