Hey everyone, first I want to thank everyone who's read this story despite the fact that I was not working on it. You all mean so much to me. Second, this was requested by Ash_Cp
Third, this has a mention and act of suicide, if you are uncomfortable with that it has a warning that will allow you to skip over it. Be noted that there is still mention after it but it is not the actual act of suicide. Thank you.
Soulmate Au: Red String- an invisible red string connects two people who are destined to meet, regardless of time, space, or circumstance. The string may stretch or tangle but will never break.
Extra: reader is pretty normal, parents are shit stains.

Reader POV
"If you take this and move it over here, you get twenty five. Which you would take down then divide by the five. This would give you five, so the answer is five." The teacher said before looking out at the class to see if anyone understood.
We get it lady. We aren't kindergarteners. You thought to yourself as you doodled in your math notebook. Looking up and over toward the clock that sat in the far corner of the room you decided to pack up. You only had about two minutes anyway. I wonder what b/f is up to. Probably skipping.
You finished packing and pulled out your phone. Playing on it till the bell rang.

                                   TIME SKIP

You exited the school building and walked down to the store. You walked around a bit before finding b/f in the dairy section of the store.
"Yo, b/f" you called out to them as they pulled a package of something up to their face to read it. They turned around and gave you a what-the-fuck-you-want-bitch-face before realizing who you were.
"Hey! What are you doing here, aren't your parents gonna be mad?" They asked as they walked up, still holding the foreign food.
"They can suffer. You skipped, right?" You looked at the object seeing that it was just cheese you left it and went straight to the point.
"Oh! Yea, my teach got to annoyed at me and kicked me out so I left!" They seemed to be way to happy about that but you didn't care. You do you boo.
You looked around, looking for a clock or a window. You looked to your left finding a clock hanging right above the aisle with all the alcohol. It read 6:36 and you looked down. Great. That works for me. You looked at b/f and just walked away. They would know why. You head over to the alcohol aisle and looked through before finding the one you wanted. Grabbing it you went to self checkout and then left.
On your way home you looked down to your hand. There it was, the thing that stated 'hey someone will want you someday!' That thing just happened to be the string that was attached to your finger, a bright candy red string. It lead behind you and around the corner. You would've followed it if you didn't care about your family, unfortunately though, you were stuck with those assholes and couldn't leave. So you continued your walk down to your house.
I wonder how annoying they'll be today? Maybe mild, probably very spicy though. My family doesn't know what holding back is. Maybe the topic will be my grades? Or maybe the fact that I still haven't found a husband? Maybe because I'm just a disappointment. All these depressing thoughts clouded your mind before you felt a tug on the string that wanted to decide your fate.
You looked down realizing that the string was now pulled to your left and you couldn't help but look that way seeing a large shopping area with booths and banners.
You almost forgot about the parade that happened earlier, they wanted to celebrate the finding of the Mayors' soulmate. They ended up throwing a large parade and put up some stands with a bunch of different goodies.
You continued walking past though, you could care less about your soulmates interests. Finally you made it to your house, you stepped up to the door raising your hand to the doorknob. You looked at the door again and back down to the doorknob.
You looked away then walked back to the sidewalk, looking around for any signs of someone. Seeing no one you walked to the side of your house, there against the wall was a ladder. You grabbed it and brought it to the back lining it up with the window that opened up straight to your bedroom. You had left it unlocked just in case so you knew you could get in. Climbing the ladder step by step you grabbed the window then pushed it open and hopped in.
Looking around you noticed that someone was definitely in here about half an hour ago. You looked at your bed before setting your backpack down and walking to the dresser. Looking inside you saw the notebook you had been using to keep track of your 'dreams'. Thankfully it was still there.
You closed the dresser and walked to the bed and sat down. You could hear your parents downstairs trying to figure out why you weren't home yet.
Rolling your eyes you thought of the dreams you'd been having. You actually didn't know if they were actually dreams, but they were so far from being anything possibly real so you just presumed that they were dreams.
In these 'dreams' you met a tall, black and white, clown man with a long swirly cone nose and long hair. He was very creepy, but you felt intrigued. You had never seen a clown before, your parents thinking it would be a distraction to have anything fun around you. Though you had never seen one, you knew they were supposed to be very bright and vibrant in color. You didn't know how your brain decided that your dreams are all going to be of a black and white creepy clown, but at least that's better then the nightmares you used to have.
As you thought of this your parents were getting angry downstairs, you knew they would but you couldn't give a fuck about them. They were going to come up here soon enough to figure out if they could steal something as punishment. That's a lot faster than last time, huh. You thought as you heard your mothers voice, angry as always, coming closer to your room.
You got up, threw your backpack and notebook out the window, then stepping out yourself. You closed the window and waited for them to leave. As you sat on the ladder you couldn't help but think of jumping off and going to the hospital or just dying. But you didn't and just waited as they rampaged through your room.
You could have stopped them, yelled at them, something. But you just waited. You weren't going to get in their way today. They might find something, but would it actually matter? They wouldn't care if they found the razor, or the blood, or the noose. They would not care. You knew this for a fact and did nothing, this information ran through your brain day by day. They would never care.
You looked up at the window before deciding you didn't actually want to be here. You went down the rest of the ladder grabbed your backpack, stuffed the journal in, then walked towards the forest that rested behind your house.
As you entered the forest you wished you weren't going in, as it meant your death. Yes, you had planned to kill yourself here. It was final. No more hesitation. You had been planning this for so long, and you knew you were finally done with this world.
As I have stated, my parents wouldn't care about this. I could be dying right in front of them, and they would not stop me. They are horrible people.
After walking straight forward for about ten minutes, you found the spot. It wasn't far from the house so someone would find you if they looked back here. You wished they wouldn't though.
You set down your bag, ripped out a piece of paper, and wrote a note.
