The Silver Shadow

The mission has started

When I start to pay attention to the others again Naruto is yelling at an old man and getting hold back by Kakashi. What did I miss?
“Alright, team 7 go pack and we will meet up at the Village entrance.” Kakashi orders and we all move out the building. Sakura and Naruto run off while I walk with Sasuke.
“Why are we packing?” I ask him, breaking the silence.
“You didn’t pay attention?” He looks surprised.
“I stopped when Iruka sensei started talking.” Sasuke let out a little laugh.
“Then I’ll start from there. The Hokage said that we could have a C rank mission, probably to shut up Naruto.” This time I giggled at what he said and he smiled. “We’re assigned to take him to the Land Of The Waves so he can build a bridge.”
“Then why was Naruto trying to harm him.”
“The old man called him short and annoying.” Sasuke smiled to himself and I smile when imagining Naruto’s reaction to that.
“Okay, I wish I paid attention to that.”
“Here’s my stop.”
“Bye Sasuke, see ya later.”
“See ya later, Killua.” We wave goodbye and I start walking alone thinking to myself. Land Of The Waves… it’s been a while… I wonder if they remember me.
 
After I packed up, using my chakra to compress a lot into a normal sized bag, I headed off and was the first to the entrance. I thought I took longer than that. Not long after me the bridge builder shown up but didn’t see that I was hidden in a tree. He looked a bit nervous about something, I lean in with curiosity, being sure he doesn’t notice me.
“Gato is going to go after me for sure; those damn kids aren’t going to stand a chance. Damn,” He curses under his breath. Gato… Where have I heard that name before? As I’m thinking the others in my team show up and as always, we’re waiting for Kakashi. Surprisingly he has shown up an hour after.
“LATE!” Sakura and Naruto fail to get used to his time management.
“Sorry, I ran into a black cat and took the long way round.” You know the Jutsu Kakashi, you can teleport here. “Where’s Killua?” I silently jump out the tree and land behind him, I take out a kunai and put it to his throat.
“Boo,” The others look scared but when I take my weapon away and take a step back Kakashi looks mad and the others are too. I put my hands up in defence, “hey, that was skill.”
“Killua?” I look towards Naruto and nod, signalling him to carry on. “What’s with the cape?” He points towards the light blue, hooded cape on my back, tired at my neck.
“Oh, I always wear this when I leave the village.” I put on a smile and so do the others, then I put up my hood and we move out.
 
Naruto is getting really excited about every little thing he sees, saying how it’s his first time out the village doors. Kakashi walks in front, leading the way, Sasuke is behind him and Sakura is next to Sasuke. I’m in the back right next to the bridge builder.
“The Silver Shadow.” He states, being sure the others won’t hear us.
“What about the silver shadow?” I ask, being as quiet as him.
“You’re the Silver Shadow.”
“Where did you get an idea like that?”
“I’m not an idiot, I’ve seen that cape with my own eyes and the children always talk about your hair being as rich as it looks. You’re the Silver Shadow.”
“Word’s gotten around then?”
“Everyone on the island has looked up to you ever since you shown up.”
“That’s really sweet Tazuna.” My eyes soften as I say it.
“Why do they treat you like any other kid?”
“Because the Silver Shadow is never seen. They are not to know who I am, just like everyone else.”
“What if I tell them?”
“Then I tell then Gato is after you.” He gives me a look of surprise and I look at him through the corner of my eye, giving him a side smile.
“KILLUA, look at this!” Naruto yells for me to go with him, when I do he shows me a pretty, white flower. “It reminded me of your hair,” he smiles bright as I take it from his grip.
“That’s sweet, thank you Naruto.” I smile at him, I see his cheeks tint pink and Sasuke gives him a death glare. As we carry on our mission Naruto and I stand in front, Sasuke and Sakura are on one side of Tazuna, while Kakashi is on the other.
