•Chapter Three•
The Time Where I Thought An Asgardian God Was Going To Kill Me
(S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier)
REWRITTENI didn't waste a second before spinning around, pulling on my black combat boots and throwing open my bedroom door. I shot out into the hall, not even thinking about the fact that the agents and Loki were just down the hallway.
I skidded to a stop, glancing in their direction. I made eye-contact with one of the agents who had turned at the sound of my door. She wasn't one of the main agents surrounding the Asgardian God so at the sight of me, she started towards me. I recognized the woman as, Cassi, a field agent.
"Hey kid," she called, "you need to get back in your room."
I rapidly shook my head, "I need to talk to my dad, now. Something happened."
Concern spread across her face; over the years growing up, I had grown close to many of the people working for S.H.I.E.L.D—also, being the Director's daughter had some say in the concern as well.
"Alright, let's go." Cassi explained, approaching me and motioning down the hallway opposite of the others. I nodded quickly, my hands still shaking from what had just occurred in my room—as well as the stare down with an Asgardian God.
I reached up to grab the necklace hanging around my neck—a small, translucent blue orb attracted to a thin, silver chain—as I began turning around. The last thing that I saw as I did, was Loki staring directly at me, yet again.

By the time we reached the Bridge doors, I had managed to calm myself down enough that I was no longer shaking. But that didn't mean I was not freaking out inside.
Cassi pushed open the Bridge doors and we walked through together. Instantly, I spotted the four present Avengers along with my dad. I started towards him as quick as possible.
"Dad—"
"—Lorien, why aren't you in your room?" Fury demanded, I let out a huff of air.
"I did go back to my room," I argued, "but—"
"—but what?"
"Something happened."
Worry seeped across my dad's face as soon as I finished speaking.
"What happened?" He asked gruffly and I felt panic shoot through me again. I clasped my hands together in front of me nervously.
"I d-don't exactly know, one second I wa—" I didn't get to finish my sentence because the Helicarrier suddenly rocked. I was thrown off my feet and I stumbled to the ground.
Shouting and alarms filled the Bridge within seconds of the ship's movement, causing the room to erupt in chaos. My dad froze for moment as a knowing look over came his features.
"Loki...." He breathed before turning back to me, "go back to your room, you'll be safe there." I nodded my head rapidly, hoping that my dad didn't see the look in my eyes that showed I was thinking just the opposite.
Loki was an Asgardian God—an Asgardian God that could very easily kill my dad. I wasn't letting him out of my sight.

I regret my decision soon after as fear over took me.
Loki could easily kill me too and yet here I was, following after my dad who was only armed with a small hand gun and didn't know I was following him.
Smart decision, Lorien. Smart decision.
I didn't get to take back said decision because the moment I turned the corner to hallway my dad just disappeared down, I was met with the sight of my dad, and Loki.
His back was to me but I knew exactly who I was looking at. He was tall and clad in green and black Asgardian robes. My breath hitched in my throat.
"Stop where you are!" My dad suddenly boomed, his order echoing off the walls. Loki froze, before spinning on the balls of his feet to face my dad. His lips twisted into an amused smirk.
"When will you mortals learn. That cell will not and can not hold me." Loki laughed, clasping his hands behind his back.
"I will not hesitate in shooting you." Fury warned.
"I have no doubt that you will," Loki mocked. "But I do believe Thor requested that I was not to be harmed." He teased, talking a step closer to Fury.
"That was only if you did not try to escape." Loki chuckled at Fury again.
"I haven't caused any damage, I have merely gone for a walk." He shot back with mock innocence in his voice.
He unclasped his hands and held his right hand out in front of himself. It began to glow a dark green before Fury was thrown against a wall. My eyes widen in shock as he started towards Fury and I called out.
"Hey!" Let's just say, my voice sounded bolder then I felt. Loki's gaze shot past my dad and then stopped when it landed on me. His emerald green eyes narrowing in confusion.
"You're only a child." He remarked, dropping his hand. I clenched my hands in frustration.
"I am not a kid," I hissed. "I am fourteen!" I finished as I stalked closer to him, pointing a finger at his chest, my fear of him vanishing.
"Child or not, I will not tolerate being spoken to in such ways as you have." Loki snapped, looking down at me.
"You tried to hurt Nick, I can speak to you however I want!" I yelled as I clenched my fists, he was making me very angry.
"You insolent ch—" His scolding was cut off by my fist. My fist connected with his cheek before I realized what I had done. Loki fumbled back, cradling his face with his hands. He wasn't the only one injured though, my hand ached and I was pretty sure that I broke something in my hand or sprained my wrist. Either way, I now had an angry Asgardian God on my hands.
"My, what a temper you possess." Loki hissed through his teeth, straightening up to his full height. All I wanted to do in that moment was disappear. His emerald eyes were full of rage and they were trained on me.
