I put my things down on my desk before knocking on Mr Hood's office door.

"Come in." he spoke. I opened the door and went in before closing it behind me.

"Hello, sweetheart." He smiled.

"Mr Hood." I nodded.

"You ready to start a day's work?" he asked.

"Like always." I replied. He chuckled at me.

"I like you. I like you a lot." He smirked.

"Is there anything that you need doing, sir?" I asked.

"Not right now. I'll email you if I need anything." He smiled. I returned it and left his office.

I sat at my desk, my chin rested against my closed fist as I impatiently tapped my pen against the desk. I huffed in boredom. The entire day had gone by and I hadn't received a single email, a single call, a single "do this for me". Nothing. I sighed as I stood up and headed to the office door, gently knocking my fist against it.

"Come in." Mr Hood spoke. I nodded to myself as I headed into his office.

"Is there anything that you need doing before I go, Mr Hood?" I asked. He nodded and looked at me as he leant against his desk.

"Go for a drink with me." He spoke, looking at me. My eyes widened.

"Excuse me, sir?" I scoffed.

"Go for a drink with me." He shrugged.

"I'm sorry, sir, but I had to break up with my ex-boyfriend for this job, I'm not looking for another relationship, and certainly not with you." I spoke.

"What's wrong with a relationship with me?" he scoffed.

"Don't you think that it would be inappropriate for me to be in a romantic relationship with my boss?" I asked.

"Not at all." He shook his head. I sighed.

"Don't you have a girlfriend, Mr Hood?" I asked. He narrowed his eyes at me.

"She told you that we were still together, didn't she?" he asked.

"You're not?" I spoke. He shook his head.

"We're not. I'm as single as a Pringle." He smiled.

"Well, Mr Hood, I'm afraid that I'm going to decline your invitation. Is there anything else you need doing?" I asked. He smirked at me.

"Nah. You can go home." He spoke before standing up from leaning against his desk.

"Have a good night, sir." I spoke as I opened the door.

"I can't possibly without you." He smiled. I gulped before shutting the door and leaving the office.
