The vampire - Michael (part 5)

I sat on the sofa, waiting for Michael to arrive. As if on cue, the doorbell rang. I jumped up to get it. I opened the door and smiled as it was Michael.

"Hey, baby." I smiled as I hugged him tightly, trying not to let onto him that something was wrong. He hesitantly returned it.

"Hey. We need to talk." He mumbled as he took my wrists and moved my arms from his neck.

"Oh no, you're breaking up with me." I chuckled as we sat down. He sighed as he looked down. My smile faltered.

"I was joking." I muttered. He sighed again as he rubbed over his face and groaned.

"I'm sorry, Y/N, I really am, but I have no other choice." He mumbled.

"Yes, you do. You don't have to end it, what we have is good." I choked.

"I know, but...I really don't want to do this." He scoffed.

"Then don't do it." I spat as I stood up.

"Y/N, please, I'm doing this because I love you." He insisted as he stood up and looked at me.

"If you love me, why are you breaking up with me?" I cried.

"To protect you-."

"Protect me from what-."

"FROM ME!" he yelled as he grabbed my upper arms and lifted me slightly so that my toes were only just touching the ground. I looked at him in shock. He sighed as he looked down and let go of me.

"I'm sorry, Y/N. I have to break up with you, please don't make this harder than it has to be." He mumbled. Tears started to fall from my eyes.

"I know that you're a vampire." I admitted. He sighed.

"Then you'll know why I have to do this." He mumbled.

"Michael, please." I choked. He sighed before walking to my door and opening it. He turned back to me.

"I love you. I don't care what just happened, I love you. I always will." He choked. I bit my lip in a weak attempt to hold back more tears as I shook my head.

"Goodbye, Y/N." he whispered before walking through the door.

"NO!" the door shut. I let the tears fall as I rested my forehead against the door. I cried to myself as I turned around and sunk to the floor with my back pressed against the door.
