"Happy birthday, baby." I smiled as I walked into Liz's room. She opened her eyes and smiled at me.

"Thanks, mum." She chuckled as she sat up. I just looked at her.

"What?" she smiled. I shook my head.

"My baby is sixteen. My only baby is all grown up. It feels like just yesterday, your dad and I were bringing you home from the hospital." I smiled. She returned it.

"Speaking of dad, any word from him?" she asked hopefully.

"Not yet, babe. He'll call soon, you know that time zones are a bitch." I chuckled.

"Yeah." She smiled, but it was only half-hearted.

"Anyway, enough of sad shit, it's your birthday, let's open presents." I smiled. She returned it and nodded before peeling back the covers and standing up. I covered her eyes as she got to the door.

"Mum." She groaned.

"I know, honey, two seconds." I chuckled as I walked her through the apartment.

"And open." I smiled, moving my hands to reveal to her the banner and balloons, along with her presents and cake.

"Aww, this is awesome! Thanks, mum!" she squealed before hugging me.

"No bother." I chuckled. Suddenly, the doorbell rang.

"I think that that's for you." I smiled.

"What did you do?" she giggled as she went to the door. She opened it to reveal Luke standing there.

"Oh my god, dad!" she laughed as she flung her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly.

"Hey, princess." He smiled as he hugged her back.

"I can't believe that you're here!" she squealed as he walked into the apartment and shut the door.

"Hey, I wouldn't miss my baby girl's sixteenth birthday for the world." He smiled before looking at me.

"Hey, babe." He spoke as he kissed me.

"Hey. Your flight okay?" I asked.

"Yeah." He nodded before turning back to Liz.

"Right. Time for presents." He grinned.

Luke and I sat in the living room, just relaxing. I sighed in bliss as he traced circles on my thighs.

"I want you two to come back with me on tour." He suddenly admitted. I looked at him.

"What?" I scoffed.

"Well, I figured that since Liz has now finished her exams, she can come, and the other boys' kids are all with us too." He shrugged. I smiled.

"I'm sure that she would love that idea." I nodded. He grinned.

"Great. We'll tell her in the morning." He smiled before pecking my lips.
