I stared blankly at the wall, letting spots of light appear in my line of vision every so often. I sighed, wondering when this was finally going to come to an end. Suddenly, I looked up to the top of the sidewall and my eyes widened. How had I not noticed that before? How could I have been so stupid? I stood up and rushed to the window that sat at the top of the wall. I banged on it loudly, desperately hoping that someone, anyone, would hear it.

"Hello?!" I screamed.

"Hello?! Help me, please!" I yelled.

"Please, anyone-." I screamed as I felt a hand go over my mouth and an arm wrap around my waist, pulling me away from the window.

"Stop yelling, or Ashton will come down here right now and kill you himself." Calum whispered in my ear. I nodded and fell silent.

"Good. Thank you." He sighed as he let me go but kept me in his arms. I turned around in them to face him.

"Are you going to let me go?" I asked quietly.

"Right, sorry." he mumbled before moving his arms from my waist. A blush crept over my cheeks as I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Look, yelling isn't going to help-."

"When are you going to recruit me?" I cut him off. He looked at me.

"What?" he scoffed.

"According to Luke, all three of them have been in the same situation as I'm in now before being recruited. I've been down here for months. When are you going to recruit me?" I asked again. He sighed and shook his head.

"We're not recruiting you." He muttered.

"Why not? I mean, I don't want to be a killer, but I'd rather be a killer than be killed-."

"You're not going to be killed, I won't..." he stopped himself as he looked down.

"I won't let anything happen to you." He spoke. My breath hitched at his words.

"If you don't want anything to happen to me, why did you take me in the first place?" I choked. He looked at me.

"I'm sorry, Y/N, but I couldn't risk you talking, you know that." He sighed, looking at me with pleading eyes. That was odd, I thought. I wasn't exactly sure why, but it just...was.

"Right. Well, let me know as soon as you find out whether I'm just going to rot down here until I die, or if you're going to cut your losses and just kill me now." I shrugged.

"For fucks sake, what did I just-." He raised his hand, curling it into a fist in a week attempt to control his anger. He grumbled to himself and shook his head before shooting up the stairs, leaving me alone once again.
