I sighed as I wandered through the apartment and into the kitchen, looking for food. I put my hands on my four-month pregnant belly that was covered by one of Luke's dress shirts. I groaned as I opened the fridge."What's wrong?" I looked up to see Luke leaning against the doorway.
"We don't have any cucumber." I pouted. He chuckled.
"We both hate cucumber, so why would we have it in?" he asked.
"Because the baby wants it." I sighed.
"What else does the baby want?" he asked, getting out his phone.
"Um, pickle juice and pesto." I spoke. He looked at me.
"Wow, that's a weird-ass craving." He chuckled. I smiled as I nodded.
"I'm going out." He spoke as he shrugged on his jacket.
"Where?" I asked.
"To get the food to feed your craving, where else?" he chuckled again, making me smile at him.
"Oh, babe, we have another doctor's appointment today. We can find out the gender today. What are you hoping for?" I asked. He shrugged.
"I don't know. I kind of want a daughter." He spoke, nodding.
"Me too. I think that a girl would be great." I smiled, making him return it as he leant down and pecked my lips.
Luke and I sat in the doctor's office, waiting for the ultrasound.
"So Mr and Mrs Hemmings, are we finding out the gender today?" the doctor smiled.
"Please." Luke nodded. She returned it as she spread the jelly over my bump.
"Okay...it looks like baby Hemmings is a girl." She spoke. I bit my lip, tears pricking my eyes as Luke smiled at me.
"We're going to have a daughter!" he laughed.
"I can't wait." I smiled before pecking his lips.
