It had been a month since Calum had let Cassie and I go, and as much as I hated to admit it, Calum was all that I thought about most days. I opened my eyes and looked at the time. Nine-thirty am. I was meant to meet Cassie for coffee in half an hour. Shit. I stood up and quickly got dressed before grabbing my bag and heading out of my apartment. As soon as I got out onto the street, I got the uneasy feeling that I was being watched. I turned around and my eyes widened. Standing in the crowd was Calum. He stood there with his hands in his leather jacket pockets and his hood up, just looking at me. I blinked and he was immediately gone. I looked around, trying to spot him again. I need to get going, I thought as I shook off the feeling and started to walk. I soon got to the café and walked in."Hey, hun." Cassie smiled as she stood up and hugged me.
"Hey. How are you doing?" I asked.
"I'm okay, yeah, what about you?" she asked. I nodded and looked down.
"Don't lie to me, honey." She sighed.
"I'm not, it's just...I've been seeing Calum everywhere that I go." I admitted. Her eyes widened.
"I know that it's silly and maybe it's just my eyes playing tricks on me, but-."
"I've been seeing Luke everywhere I go as well." She blurted out. My eyes widened.
"Oh. He loved you, didn't he?" I asked.
"That's what he said. But Calum loved you." She spoke.
"Yeah. I don't know, it's probably just our minds fucking with us." I shrugged. She nodded in agreement.
"Yeah. Maybe." She agreed. I gave her a small smile and looked down, still unable to shake the uneasy feeling that I was getting from the situation.
I lay in bed, trying to get to sleep but not being able to. I couldn't get Calum out of my head. How fucked up was that? Not only had I fallen in love with my kidnapper, he had fallen in love with me too and now I couldn't stop thinking about him. Fuck, what was wrong with me? I was pulled from my thoughts by the sound of my window being slid open. My heart started to race as a figure rolled into my window and stood up. This was an all too familiar scene. My heart pounded against my chest but that all sunk away as the figure stepped into the light. My breath caught in my throat and my eyes widened.
"Hey, baby girl." Calum smiled softly.
