Chapter 38
(A month after Finn came back ) it's been a month since Finn came back and I still haven't told audrey that Finn is here dad . Finn has been spending a lot more time with her and I love how active he is and audrey is really starting to like him too . my only fear is that he's going to leave and audrey is going to be crushed . so today when Finn came over I opened the door and said , "hey Finn , Audrey is still asleep ." "oh that's okay I actually wanted to talk to you ." he said "ok come on in ." I said and we walked into the kitchen "do you want some coffee ?" I asked "sure ." he said and I made him a cup . "so what did you want to talk about ?" I asked "well I wanted to know if maybe I could talk to Audrey and tell her I'm her dad ." I looked at him and said , "oh wow are you sure ?" I said "yeah you know I'm kind of getting used to her and I'm starting to love her ." he said . I smiled and said , "Finn I know that you love Audrey and she loves you too but I'm scared that if she gets too attach that you might leave and I don't want to put her through that ." he looked at me "Rachel listen , I know that you don't trust me yet but I really think that this could work I could buy a house in Lima and I could be here with her and you ." "listen Finn , I want her to be close to you I really do but I want you out of respect for me to wait a little longer before you tell Audrey you're her dad ." I told him "mom ?" Audrey said I turned around and said , "Audrey honey I thought you were asleep . " "What's this about my dad ?" She asked . I sighed and looked at Finn . "come here honey ." I said and we all went into the living room and sat on the couch . "Audrey , you know I love you right ?" I said "of course I do you're my mom ." she said "okay well when i was in high school I was pregnant with you and the guy that is your father is ...." "me ." Finn said . she looked at me and at Finn shocked and said , "what mom is Finn my dad ?" I shook my head and said ,"yes, your father is Finn ." "Why did you keep this from me !" She said angrily "honey I'm sorry but he left and went away and I just never really thought he would come back ." I said "bull crap !" She said "hey! Don't talk to your mom like that !" Finn said "I hate you both ." she said and ran up stairs .
