Chapter 36: Healing Hands

Hinata's P.O.V

A couple of minutes later, after everything settled down, the ambulance rushed up to Menma's hideout, we all now standing out in the chilly night.

A bunch of men immediately hopped out of their loud siren trucks with orange suits on and ran up to us, already rounding up Stefan from his car, Kurenai following right along.

Two men came up to Naruto and we gave him to them, they nodding quickly, reassuring us. "I'm so sorry this happened. We'll help them right away." One of them spoke politely to us and I nodded, watching as they began to walk away.

But Naruto quickly turned back to me, his eyes still covered. "N-No." He whispered out which alerted the men.

They stopped and looked back at me and then back at Naruto, confused looks present on their faces. "What's the matter, sir? Something wrong?" One of them asked and Naruto pointed at me, directly, my eyes widening at the sight.

"She's my fiance. I want.. her to come with me. Please.. I need her there." He whispered out in a pleading manner, a manner that won the hearts of the two men.

They both sighed but allowed it, they nodding approvingly. "Fine. Come on, young lady. Do you want anyone else with you?" He asked and right on que, little Noah ran out of the car up to us, in a crying fit.

"Mommie! Mommie! Daddy! Daddy! What's going on!" He yelled out in loud sobs and ran up to Naruto, hugging his waist tightly.

Naruto grunted in response by Noah's sudden action but smiled, quickly sensing that it was his son, he patting whatever his hand landed on which was his blonde hair.

"Its okay, Noah. Everything's fine. I just got a little beat up, that's all. How about you go with Mommy." He instructed reassuringly and Noah nodded, eyeing his eyes weirdly.

"Okay dad. Whatever you say." He said, oblivious, and turned to me, not a second later, running up to me.

"Mommie!! I was so worried about you!" He shouted and I cooed, wrapping my arms, bringing his little body into my chest.

I whimpered and hugged him tightly, lovong that he was safe, in my arms again. I nodded. "I know.. I know, Noah. Let's just save this chat for later. We have to be in the ambulance truck with daddy." I whispered out to him and rubbed his tanned, wet cheeks, his nose red from his earlier crying, which greatly sadden me...

I never like seeing Noah cry. I hate it so much. And I know he feels the same to see me in such a state.

I have to hold back my tears back, from him. And with that thought, I sniffed back my tears and carried him forward towards Naruto and the ambulance workers, they all waiting for us.

Ray and Ino was left behind, small smiles on their faces as we slowly made our way to the ambulance trucks, our heads low in the dark night..

Well.. Here we go..

One way trip, to the hospital...

A Few Minutes Later

I sat quietly in the inside of the ambulance trucks with Noah by my side, Naruto lying soundly on a stretcher in the middle of the small aisle they had in the back of the truck.

The two men from before surrounded him, checking is blood pressure and heart beat.

One of them hissed. "Blood count a bit low but he's all good." One of them spoke out to me with a reassuring nod, making me smile, relief flooding in instantly.
