Chapter 19: Confession and Wishes
A lot of people outside were disappointed since they didn’t have an invitation. They were all jealous as they saw a lot of people smiling as they left the restaurant. The restaurant was completely closed, so no one knew what was inside.
They were still waiting as the Shop Manager went out and smiled at them.
“We want to inform everyone that since our Miss wanted to serve every customer inside to the fullest, she decided to limit the number of people we will serve every day. 200 people per day is the only number we can serve. We also accept reservations, and each reservation costs 150 silver coins per slot. You can reserve at least 5 slots per person. We will issue a card to the person who secures a slot for that day. Good day to everyone.”
Everyone was complaining, but after they asked the people who came out of the restaurant how satisfied they were, no one dared to leave the place. They all fell in line and bought a slot until the reservations even reached for three whole months.

It was already nighttime, and the restaurant had decided to close, but a group of men and a person in a wheelchair appeared at the entrance.
“Manager Zhang, we want to speak to Miss Zexel,” the old manager was shocked as the guy pushing the wheelchair was asking for his master.
Feng Zhengying gave him a card, so Manager Zhang let the group of people go inside.
He led them to the kitchen and saw Zexel and Fan Yaoli laughing with each other.
“Miss, someone wants to see you,” Manager Zhang said.
Zexel immediately turned around and saw Feng Zhengying in a wheelchair.
“Your Highness,” both Zexel and Fan Yaoli bowed to him as courtesy.
“Congratulations, Miss Fan Lihua,” Feng Zhengying smirked as he saw her.
“Your Highness, Ming Wang,” Zexel slightly bowed as the others followed her when they heard that the guy in front of them was the Ming Wang.
“You may rise,” he sternly said.
Zexel caught the mask that Feng Zhengying wore on his right eye.
“What’s with the mask, Your Highness?” she asked. She had never seen him using a mask inside the Ming Wangfu, so she was confused about it. Nothing seemed unusual about his whole face, so she didn’t know why Feng Zhengying needed to wear it.
Until she remembered the rumors that she had heard before. It was said that his face had a ferocious scar on his right eye. Zexel immediately processed the whole situation and probably guessed that Feng Zhengying was hiding this matter.
He may appear weak, but the forces behind his back and the power he held that even the monarch was not aware of were not to be underestimated. She remembered that before the host died in the future, the fight between the princes began to spiral out of control since the emperor was nearing his death.
Gui Wangye[1], Feng Ming Li, the ninth prince, was the person whom Feng Zhengying supported to become the new emperor. Because of his support, he managed to ascend to the throne.
And Fan Yaoli became his empress. Gui Wang was Fan Yaoli’s man.
“May this Benwang talk to Miss Fan privately?” Zexel nodded and pushed Feng Zhengying’s wheelchair outside to their backyard.
“Can Benwang ask you a favor?” Zexel just nodded to him as she sat in a chair to level herself with him.
“Can we drop the formalities and call me by my name?” Feng Zhengying said using a gentle tone.
“Hua’er… I don’t know when I started to feel this kind of feeling. When I was on the battlefield, I never even felt that I was a human. But because of you, Hua’er, you gave me new hope to continue my life,” Feng Zhengying was staring at Zexel, and he didn’t know how to express his feelings for the lass.
“Hua’er, even if we just met last month, even if we only had a short time together, I can now say that I like you. Will—will you give me a chance?” Zexel could see that Feng Zhengying was really sincere, but she smiled bitterly as she remembered how her old lover betrayed her.
She was still not yet ready.
“Your Highness, you’re a great guy, but this Lady is still not yet ready to enter another relationship. But perhaps, if the years pass, this Lady can accept you,” Zexel smiled at him, giving him an assurance that made Feng Zhengying smile.
Feng Zhengying hugged Zexel and let her feel that he liked her.
“Benwang will take care of you. Benwang will cherish the chance you gave,” Zexel just nodded to him and hugged him back.
Maybe she could move on with him if she taught herself to love this man. She would try to love again—but not now.

“I did not know that Hua Mei-Mei knew Ming Wangye. What do you think? How did they meet? It seems like they’ve known each other for a long time from the way they interact,” Fan Yaoli said with a smile.
“Nubi doesn’t know the answer, Miss,” Dao Lu replied while bowing to Fan Yaoli.
“No matter what, I’m still happy that there is someone who is willing to take care of her,” Fan Yaoli was sincerely happy about what she felt for her sister.
But also, she hoped that the man she loved would also be like the Prince of Demons. She wanted to feel the same love that her sister had, but she knew that she was hoping for someone that was impossible.
“I wish I could have the same love that sister has with Ming Wang, with the person that I love. It will be my greatest day if that happens in the near future. But I know it will be impossible for me to have it,” Fan Yaoli bitterly smiled as she stared at Ming Wang and her sister.
