Chapter 28: Alliance of the Four
Feng Ming Li followed Feng Zhengying as he saw that every person they encountered was bowing to them.
So Feng Ming Li concluded that this place was one of his powers. Feng Ming Li tried to check their cultivation and was stunned because many people here were already at the Senior Spiritualist and Earthly Spiritualist Realm.
He didn’t know how Feng Zhengying managed to raise such powerful subordinates, but after he felt the abundance of Qi in the place, he already figured out the answer.
Feng Ming Li silently followed Feng Zhengying until they reached the training room, where they both saw two women engaged in combat inside.
Feng Ming Li was already amazed, especially seeing the two women fighting at their fastest speed. He could barely see the movements they made, as if they were both born to do that.
He could even see that they did not use internal force to make themselves fast, which is a rare skill among all cultivators.
In the cultivation world, a lot of people depend solely on their cultivation power, especially in fighting. Many are called geniuses because they manage to master their cultivation power with their own skills.
But if you find a person who solely depends on strength and not on cultivation, out of millions of cultivators, five is already a generous estimate.
So when people run out of Qi in their body or push themselves to the point that they can’t use any technique, they die immediately.
Feng Zhengying is one of the people he knows who also relies on his own strength and not just cultivation power, making him truly powerful.
And now, he managed to see two more in his life.
"Who are they?" Feng Ming Li asked, curious why he and Feng Zhengying had stopped in front of the large glass.
Even his eyes couldn’t help but roam around, because he didn’t know where they were. It was like they were in a different place, because he couldn’t recognize a single thing.
"They are Fan Lihua and Fan Yaoli," Feng Ming Li’s brows knitted as he looked as if he had seen a ghost in front of Feng Zhengying.
"Fan Xuan Yan is in the Crown Prince’s Faction. Why did you let the two of them in here?" Feng Ming Li asked.
"They will not betray me. First of all, they already cut ties with the Fan Family, and second, this place belongs to Fan Lihua, and all the people you see here are her subordinates. She built everything you see here over the past two years with her sister," Feng Ming Li dropped his jaw because he couldn’t believe what Feng Zhengying had said.
"They hide too deep," Feng Ming Li murmured absent-mindedly to Feng Zhengying.
After a while, Zexel and Fan Yaoli came out after their training. Both of them were dressed in jogging pants and sweaters.
They were wiping their sweat as Zexel saw Feng Zhengying and Feng Ming Li waiting for them.
"Ah'ying, I thought you needed to run an errand today?" she asked, making Feng Ming Li stunned again.
Zexel's behavior toward Feng Zhengying was too intimate. "I'm done," Feng Zhengying replied.
Feng Ming Li was even more stunned by Feng Zhengying's behavior. He could see the gentleness in Feng Zhengying's eyes as he stared at Zexel.
Zexel’s lips curved into a smile as she bowed a bit.
"Pardon for my negligence, Lihua greets Gui Wangye," even Fan Yaoli bowed a bit, but not too low. It was enough for formalities.
Feng Ming Li felt a bit awkward seeing Zexel and Fan Yaoli bowing to him.
"You don't have to bow to me, especially when we're not in a public place. Since Zhengying chose to trust the two of you, I’ll choose to trust you too," Feng Ming Li said. Both of them nodded as they continued to the receiving area.
Zexel explained to Feng Ming Li what had happened over the past two years—but not their identities. Feng Zhengying knew the reason, so he didn’t press the issue.
Zexel instructed her subordinates to prepare everything for Feng Ming Li, especially after discovering that Feng Zhengying brought him here for seclusion.

Zexel and Fan Yaoli went outside to stroll around the mountain. Although this place was only a man-made mountain, Zexel had made it extraordinarily beautiful.
She created many stunning sceneries, and one of them was the waterfall at the back of the mountain.
She had a treehouse in the largest tree near the falls, and it became their destination.
"What do you think about the Ninth Prince?" Fan Yaoli asked as she stared at the waterfall.
"We can trust him, just like Ah’ying," Zexel replied. She knew how righteous Feng Ming Li was, since she had the host’s future memories. That was one of her advantages when she arrived here.
But she didn’t dare to rely on those memories often, because she knew that she had already changed many events, and much of the host’s future memories would now be useless.
On the contrary, there were still events that, no matter how much she changed her fate or many things, would still occur and remain unaffected.
Just like the incoming epidemic disaster, followed by the most tragic natural disaster in the Pingjing Dynasty.
She had already prepared everything, so she didn’t need to worry about what would happen in the near future.
"Are you sure? How can you tell?" Fan Yaoli asked, still doubting—but she knew it was quite possible, since the person she was asking was the Mafia Queen of her modern era.
How did she maintain her position as the highest for more than 23 years if she didn’t have unbelievable skills?
