Chapter 55: Their First Day in Scarlett Academy

After the woman explained the mission system to her, Zexel thanked her politely and began reading through every listed mission.

She quickly noticed that missions requiring Seventh Grade armaments and pills were categorized under Class A. If the quantity exceeded three pieces, the mission would be considered Class S. Zexel couldn’t help but smirk. Many of the items listed were things she already had in her possession. So, without hesitation, she went to the Mission Claiming counter and claimed multiple Class A and Class S missions.

The mission approver gave her a strange look but didn’t dare question her. Around her, people began to murmur, staring at her like she was insane. No one had ever done something like this before.

She ignored all the gossip and proceeded to the Exchanging Counter, where she was greeted by a man with a warm smile.

“Are you here to exchange points?” he asked kindly.

She nodded with a smile and pulled out her seals, then brought out every item listed on the mission board.

“I’m new to Scarlett Academy and don’t have a Charm Card yet. Can I have one too?” she asked politely.

The man paled as soon as he saw the number of Seventh Grade and above pills and armaments on his desk. His hands trembled as he examined them. Around them, the murmurs grew louder. Many believed the items were fake. There was no way a newcomer could possess such expensive armaments, especially ones forged by a Seventh Tier Armament Master.

But when the man completed his evaluation, his voice rang out clearly:

“They’re all authentic.”

The room fell into stunned silence, jaws dropping all around.

The man then informed her that all students received their Charm Card after passing the entrance tests and that the card was sealed within their Identification Card. Zexel brought out her ID and unsealed her Charm Card.

She had completed 25 Class A missions, earning 25,000 Charms, and 15 Class S missions, totaling 150,000 Charms.

In just one day, she had collected 175,000 Charms.

The news spread like wildfire across the entire Scarlett Academy.

Zexel was now enjoying her tea when three people entered her cabin—Feng Zhengying, Feng Ming Li, and Fan Yaoli. She didn’t seem surprised and continued sipping her green tea calmly.

“So, how’s the stroll? Unexpectedly, there are a lot of categories here,” Feng Ming Li said with a grin as he sat down.

“What will your major be while we’re here for the next two years?” Feng Zhengying asked, taking a seat across from her.

“I’d like to become a Healer. It seems like that’s the weakest category in Scarlett Academy,” Zexel replied casually, taking another sip of tea.

“Do you have a reason for choosing the healer class?” Fan Yaoli asked with curiosity.

“Well, I think it’s fun to raise the healer category above the others. People underestimate healers too much and fail to see their full potential, especially as frontline fighters,” Zexel explained.

“I’m curious though,” Feng Ming Li said, scratching his head. “How can a healer be a frontliner? Aren’t they just support?”

Zexel smiled. “Healers are essential in battle. Beyond treating injuries, their deep knowledge of anatomy gives them a terrifying edge. They memorize every part of the body—every vital point, every weak spot. If they applied force to those critical areas…”

She trailed off with a smirk. Fan Yaoli’s eyes widened as he caught on.

“If they used that knowledge in combat—targeting those points with precise strikes—they’d be deadly. Plus, healers are masters in poison extraction. If they know how to counter poisons, then they must be just as knowledgeable in how to use them,” Fan Yaoli concluded.

“Exactly,” Zexel said. “Imagine a healer who’s skilled in acupuncture. Needles used to heal could just as easily be used to harm—especially if soaked in poison.”

“That would make them extremely dangerous if the needles struck the right places,” Feng Zhengying added.

“But healers here are mocked,” Feng Ming Li said. “People think they’re only useful when someone gets injured.”

“I know,” Zexel nodded. “That’s why I chose the healer class. Also, you need precise qi control to use healing hands. Now imagine using that same qi control in offensive techniques.”

“I don’t get it,” Feng Ming Li admitted. Fan Yaoli nodded in agreement.

“Watch this,” Zexel said, placing her index finger on the table. She infused it with qi, and in an instant, a glowing aura surrounded it. With a light push—no visible force—the table split with a hole cleanly punctured through it.

Fan Yaoli and Feng Ming Li paled.

If all healers could do that, they would be just as deadly as Elementalists or Weapon Masters.

Feng Zhengying gazed at the hole with admiration. That skill was high-level. If Zexel shared this knowledge with others, the healer category would rise like never before.

“How about the three of you?” Zexel asked, pouring herself another cup of tea in a graceful motion.

“Well, you know I’m not as good at sealing techniques as you, so I chose the Sealing Category,” Fan Yaoli replied with a sheepish smile.

“I went with the Array Category. I’ve always been curious about it since Li’er taught me the basics,” Feng Ming Li said.

“As for me,” Feng Zhengying said, “I chose Armament Forging.”

None of them were surprised. He had always shown a natural affinity for armaments, absorbing everything Zexel taught him like a sponge. It made perfect sense that he would pursue it further.

“It looks like we’ll be splitting up for now,” Zexel said. “Be observant. Stay alert. And remember why we came here in the first place.”

They all nodded, their expressions growing serious.

They still had one final goal to accomplish.

The last piece of their plan was waiting somewhere within Scarlett Academy—and they had to find it before returning to the Pingjing Dynasty.
