SINCE Halejiah agreed to Beaux's bid, she's left being bored into their house. She instructed the maid that she will clean the whole room to pass her time.

Pinagpapawisan siya matapos linisin ang buong silid. Nagmistulang work out ang paglilinis niya. She doesn't bother of becoming fat because being slender runs in her blood. Her mom is slender too and she haven't seen her gained weight before.

Sa pag-aakalang natapos na niyang linisin lahat ng sulok sa silid, napatunayan niyang nagkakamali siya dahil sa nakita niyang bagay sa bedside table. May dalawang aklat na nakalapag doon.

"Di ko napansin 'to kanina ah.." Bulong niya habang papalapit sa lamesa.

Beaux must've took it from the library and have forgotten to took it back. Napailing si Halejiah habang pinupunasan ang pawis gamit ang tuwalyang nakasabit sa kanyang balikat. She noticed that Beaux was sort of messy oftentimes. Well, at least there are things that's out of his capability. Unfair naman kung walang kahinaan si Beaux at napakahuwad kung ganoon.

She decided to take a shower first before she'll return those books in the library downstairs.

Pagkatapos maligo, magbihis at mag-ayos ay kinuha niya na ang libro sa munting lamesa sa tabi ng kanilang kama. Her eyes darted on the books and she figured out that it's a book about business. It would be surprising if Beaux happened to read romance novel books. Pinaglaruan niya ang bawat pahina gamit ang mga daliri kahit wala naman siyang balak basahin ito. Just when she's about to stop what she's doing, she was surprised when she saw a peculiar picture of a girl attached on one of the pages. Her lips formed O when she clearly saw who it was.

"Laura..." she uttered with pain in her voice.

Halejiah was clueless of why on earth that Beaux still keeps Laura's photo. She respects her death but she have long recovered from her guilt. Laura's death was out of her hands. She was wondering about Beaux's reason why he preserved Laura's remembrances. Doubt then, languidly fills into her mind.

'He better have a good reason why.'

She didn't really know Beaux that much. Most of the things she knew about him were all came from her intuitions through reading his expressions like a damn psychic, but haven't gotten time to even ask and prove her instincts. Beaux could be possibly playing with her. Or maybe he was just using her as a leverage to feed his boredom and longing for Laura.

'I deserve more than that!'

Halejiah slammed the book on the bedside table due to the madness and pain that's slowly creeping into her heart. Many questions have been running into her mind.

Si Laura parin ba? Isa ito sa mga katanungan na tumatakbo sa isipan niya.

But Beaux is a man of honor. That's what she believed in, but does he really is? She should think like scientists-- to see is to believe. Her doubts were urging her to make things clear when Beaux gets home.

Maaga pa at kaaalis lang din ni Beaux kaya nais niyang magliwaliw muna para maaliw ng konti. Wala naman silang kasunduan ni Beaux na bawal siyang aalis ng bahay at wala na rin siyang pakialam kahit meron. He can't treat her like a prisoner. Halejiah loves him but she won't ever think twice of leaving him just so she could preserve her dignity and self-worth.

Biglang sumagi sa utak niya si Khalid. She kinda miss the brotherly vibes he brought to her and she needs it considering the situation she's in.

'Khalid it is.'
