Maps litter the ground of Lexi's apartment as sunlight streams in through the windows. Peter and Derek watch as Lexi pours over them, her eyes darting from mark to mark as she bites down on her bottom lip. The opening of the door does not distract her. "You got more?" She asks without looking.

Isaac drops more maps in the chair as Derek sets down the coffee. Peter simply closes the door behind him; Lexi purses her lips as she glances at him.

"Any progress?" Derek asks as he walks next to her. As she leans over the maps, Derek stands with his arms crossed, towering above her.

"I have potentials," Lexi replies. "but you said the Alphas marked your house?"

"Yes, quite daunting," Peter says as he plops onto the couch. "Derek's gonna repaint the door."

Lexi shakes her head. "Look, we don't even know where the Alpha pack is. They could have come, taken Erica and Boyd, and run off again for the summer. They could be here lying in wait, or it could just be someone trying to intimidate you. We don't know."

"But we have to find Boyd and Erica," Isaac says. "We're gonna find them, right?"

"Of course." Lexi sends him a soft smile. She reaches down to grab her cup of bourbon. Nursing the drink, she begins to pace behind the couch. "They would want somewhere isolated. Probably a fortress of some kind."

A knock grabs her attention.

"I ordered some pizza," she says as she races into the bedroom. "Isaac, can you get it? I'll get my wallet."

Grabbing the wallet resting on her desk, Lexi pauses as a shiver runs up her spine. When she glances out the window, she frowns at the clouds covering the sky. "Weird," she mutters as she retrieves some cash.

When she steps out of the bedroom, her eyes land on the man standing at the door. Her glass falls to the ground and shatters.

The wolves all turn back to look at her as the sound shocks them.

Pure fear covers her face. Her heart beats wildly against her chest; she blinks rapidly as she tries to comprehend the man at the door. The glass crunches under her feet as she staggers back. "You can't be here," she breathes, her American accent gone.

Mikael smirks. "Hello, Alexis."

"Isaac, step away from the door. Now."

The boy steps back with wide eyes. He glances between the two—Mikael and Lexi—before he realizes who the man is. "Maybe you should go," Isaac says, but he does not really know who he speaks to—Lexi, his Alpha, or Mikael himself.

The older man grins. "Now, after all these years, I'd like to have a moment with—"

"No," Lexi replies, her voice shaking.

Suddenly, Derek says, "Wait, I know you."

"Shut up," Lexi snaps. "Don't speak."

Derek shakes his head. "No, I saw him yesterday."

"Good memory." Mikael lets his eyes wander around the room. "Thank you for telling me where to find this place. It would have taken too long without your help."

Lexi closes her eyes and purses her lips. "Leave. You and anyone like you cannot come in—I assured it after Rebekah broke in."

He nods along with her statement as he glances down the hall. "You see, I thought you might do that. But you are still dead, Alexis—you can't have the lease. So, I thought it must be someone close if someone like Klaus were to stop by. Not too close because all you children are paranoid, and it had to be someone who is home all day."

He removes his hand from his jacket pocket, revealing the blood staining his skin as he points. "Perhaps Mrs. Duncan three doors down with those cats?" He steps into the apartment. "I never understood cats."

Lexi glances at the nearest window; Mikael catches it. "If you think you can escape this, girl, you are sorely mistaken," he snaps. When he takes a step forward, both Derek and Peter counter him, only further inducing Lexi's panic.

"Why don't you tell us who the hell you are?" Peter asks with a sneer on his face.

Mikael's dark eyes do not leave Lexi's. As a tear falls down her face, she whimpers, "Mikael, please." Derek tenses in front of her. "I will do whatever—"

"I thought I made you a deal." Mikael finally looks between the Hales. "If you ever came back here—"

"They're all dead," Isaac says suddenly; Mikael glances back at him. "You can look it up. All of them died."

"Who are they?"

"Luke and Tristan," Lexi replies. "They don't know anything."

Mikael hums as he steps up to Derek. "You see, Alexis, I think you are lying, and you remember what happens when someone lies to me. Which one are you?" He asks Derek.

When Derek opens his mouth, Lexi lunges. In the blink of an eye, Mikael pins her to the nearest wall by her throat. She chokes, hitting his arm repeatedly. "Don't," she rasps when she sees Derek move towards her.

"You want to tell him what you were planning on doing?" Mikael asks with a grin.

His grip loosens as more tears slip down her cheek. "I'm sorry," she says. Mikael narrows his eyes, silently demanding an answer. "I was going to snap your neck."

Derek stares at her, beginning to shake his head. "Because?" Mikael drawls, looking between the two.

Lexi bites down on her bottom lip. "B-because he would've made you suffer, and I wanted to s-save you from that."

"So heartfelt," Mikael sighs. "Unfortunately, daughter, I will kill all of them." His grip tightens once more. "You should've followed my instructions."

He smacks her across the face. She shouts when she flops to the ground, automatically curling into a ball.

All she can see are his feet as he turns to the wolves. As Mikael adjusts his jacket, Lexi kicks her foot out, breaking his shin in two. "Go!" She shouts as she rips a leg off of the table. "Go, now!" She thrusts the makeshift stake through Mikael's gut.

Peter is the first to move. He grabs Derek by the arm and practically drags him towards the door. Isaac tries to help, but Derek slips between them. Unfortunately for them, they had already made it over the threshold; as Lexi chants a spell, the door locks behind them.

"Clever little trick, girl," Mikael spits as he rips the stake free. "But you cannot hide them forever."

"I can try." With a war cry, she runs at him. Both of them tumble out of the window.

Hi, Mikael. Go away. Please.

Hope you enjoyed!
