There are certain things that will happen and you can't do anything about it, no matter how hard you try to stop these things from accruing you have to let history play its course.

This is how I have finally accepted my new life here in Manhattan. I see the future but I can't stop things from happening, I may be able to change how I perceive them but there are certain fixed points in time that will happen no matter what.

These are the thoughts crossing my mind as I sit on Elisa's couch scrolling through her tv channels. Elisa herself was starting to make dinner for the two of us. I look at the pictures she's developed for me using the camera she gifted me. Its pictures of the castle, the sunrise starting to raise just as I was starting to sleep, pictures from around the city that have interested me; There's also pictures of Goliath, the trio, Elisa, and Hudson and Bronx. Elisa says I have a good eye, whatever that means, saying I should take up the craft and sell my art or put it in galleys. She might have a point but that's a discussion for a different night.

My thoughts were interrupted by Broadway opening the balcony window and stepping in "hey Elisa, hey Del".

"How was the movie?" I ask him "is that you, Broadway?" Elisa asks from the kitchen " I was in the neighborhood." "Make yourself comfortable, i'll throw on a couple of steaks." "Thanks."

"The movie was amazing del, but you know that since you went and saw it with us last night". I nod at him getting up and helping Elisa out.

I'm putting food on plates when I hear a loud bang and a crash I turn around dropping the things in my hands to see Elisa on the ground blood starting to fill the floor.

My heart starts beating rapidly I look and see Broadway playing with her gun making me my cheeks heat up and my fist clench.

"Sorry, my fault I was playing with the gun Stupid of me Hope I didn't break anything." I hear broadway say but my goal right now is to put towels on the wound and stop the bleeding the best I can "Elisa I'm so sorry" Broadway makes his way to us starting to unravel which is something that we don't need right now.

"Broadway listen, you have to calm down. We need to get her to the hospital otherwise she's not going to survive" I say to him trying to remain calm myself. Broadway picks Elisa up gently while I open the window and we jump off the ledge heading to the hospital. By the time we arrive at the hospital, Elisa's tan skin was looking almost pale. Broadway sets her on a gurney then looks at his hands seeing all the blood with a horrified look on his face.

"Broadway we have to go, the paramedics will find her" I tell him pulling him away from Elisa as hot tears start to stream down my grey face. As the paramedics find her and take her in the hospital Broadway and I sit on a rooftop nearby. Broadway breaks down his whole body shaking, tears streamed down my face as I wrap an arm and a wing around him to try to comfort him in some way.

"Broadway it's not your fault" I rub his back as more hot angry tears run down his bluish face "she's going to survive I promise". I see the sun start to rise, and my body stiffness and the last thing I see is Broadway and the hospital.

When Broadway and I wake up, he breaks down again and I just hold him again. This wasn't all his fault, he didn't know the safety was off and the gun shouldn't have been in the open. I should have been paying more attention as well. I was distracted by Elisa and the TV not noticing he was playing around.

"Broadway I'm going to check on Elisa, make sure that she's doing okay" I tell him which he nods to but still looking very worse or wear. "Please don't blame yourself, everything will be okay" I pull him into a hug which he accepts and squeezes me tightly for a couple minutes.
