When you really love someone you will do what you think is best to help them, and that is what I'm right now. Watching the three young gargoyles dance and what will be known is a decade as twerking which frantically is terrifying but also attractive because Brooklyn looks great as he swings his head back and forth which he won't get because that song won't be realized for another decade. I walked over to the radio which was playing Beat it by Micheal Jackson at the moment and pushed the off button slightly aggressive "did y'all forget we live above a police station. one that has lots of guns and if you might correct me doesn't know we actually exist."

All three boys look at me guilty "Elisa got it for us to enjoy, how can we if we have to remain quiet?" Lex says almost looking like a puppy trying to make me feel guilty but then I remember I'm not these kids' mother which frankly they don't have a mother because Hatchlings are raised by the whole clan.

"She wanted ya'll to use it which is correct but not with the volume all the way up so the records department in the basement could jam with you". I say to them sternly my wings tense a little because of my anger which frankly I'm not sure why I am but let's enjoy the moment of yelling at the trio.

"Sorry Del, we'll be quieter" Broadway says before turning the radio back on, and he and Lex when in doubt twerk it out.

sighing I walk my way up the stairs to the balcony my tail touching the ground and my wings still wrapped around my shoulders. I feel someone wrap their arms around me and smile "you didn't have to be so mean".

"I wouldn't have had to say anything if you three would think before you acted," I say before closing my eyes and sighing knowing snapping at him isn't right.

"What's wrong? you have been cranky for a couple of days which to me means you had a vision but you don't want to say anything." My handsome knight in red says "Your right of course but I can't say anything" I tell him leaning my elbows on the railing letting my wings open with Brooklyn sitting on so said railing

"There is a singular discussion that needs to be made soon but I can't decide what to do" I look out at the city listening to all the horns and yells thinking what it would be like to live somewhere other than here. "Both decisions will have their own consequences but which one has the worst.

"I can't tell you what to decide only that I know you will make the right decision because you always do what's best for this clan, our family." I look up at him seeing him watch me with a slight smile on his face. "just don't die on me okay?" I chuckle a little before I hug him wrapping my arms around his torso and his on mine. "I know this is something we haven't really said yet but I love you," I tell him resting my forehead on his "I love you too, everything is going to be okay.

By the time the next time came I knew it was the night I felt it in my bones, something had swift in the balance of magic and I can't explain it but it felt wrong and I had to help fix it. When the others had woken up I had Brooklyn extra tighter before he led the rest of the clan to Patrol our fair city, our big noisy city.

"What's wrong aren't you coming with us? '' He asks me his facial features scrunching up a little, seeming to be worried "No y'all go ahead, I get to see an old friend tonight". Brooklyn touches his forehead against mine before leading the others minus Bronx and Goliath on patrol not knowing that this will be our last memory for a while.

I lay on my bed my wings wrapped around me like a blanket with Bronx cuddling into me eventually falling asleep

"Delphi wake up" I jolt awake as Goliath shakes my shoulder "Elisa says that there is a man claiming he's tom"

"Yeah I know" I stop him standing up making him give me a weird look "Well let's go see our friend"

we head toward Belvedere castle with Bronx landing right on the side of the path "Goliath, Seer, I cannot believe it is you" We hear a raspy voice with a thick Scottish accent through a metal like a gargoyle face armor, finally here in the flesh" the man lifts his face cover showing a man with reddish-blonde hair and freckles littering his face. wrinkles showing that he has had a very happy life making me smile.

"You know the last time I saw you was the worst night of my life" He finishes making me give a glance to Goliath to see If he's figured it out yet.

"I do not know you," Goliath says, making me smile as I walk closer to my old friend Tom.

"But I know you, I also know of Princess Katherine, the Mangus, and the gargoyle eggs," he says

"Who are you"

"It's been a long time Tom," I say walking to him and giving him a hug which he gladly accepts, he was their when.." I try to say but even now almost a year later it still gets stuck where I can't talk about it.

"There's no time to explain now. we must go, the eggs are in danger" Tom says making me surprised as well. "we must go before sunrise"

Tom rushes to the edge of the lake where we follow finding an old boat with very Scottish accents carved into it.

"Where'd that bought come from '' Elisa asks, making me roll my eyes a little, amateur come on you've literally met mythological creatures as you put it, and have seen magic first hand.

"Who is this guy?"

"Tom was a friend of my clan when friends were all too few if this is actually Tom"

"Which it is" I mention interjecting into the conversation "Trust me Goliath this is one thing you want to trust get on that bought, you will regret it if you don't," I tell him making the gargoyle give me a slight look.

"Come or the archmage will destroy the eggs?" Tom says, making me frown "That's why I felt something was wrong in the balance, he was supposed to be dead".

We all get on the small boat and start towards the other side of the lake as Tom says a verse in Latin.

I look into the fog and close my eyes knowing this is the right decision
