As a Gargoyle, you're raised with the idea that the whole clan is your family, Hudson, Demona, and Goliath were primarily my parental figures at the time; that's why I see Goliath as my father. The thought that Oberon is my father is obscured to me, I've never seen this man before, nor has he ever been in my life. For all, I care he might be the reason I'm here, but Goliath is my father. When the mist dispatches again, I see an island with mountains with a chilly wind. Looking down at the water, it is so clear you could probably see the bottom.
"Is this Manhatten?" I hear Angela asks, making me look back up in front of us as Goliath paddles the boat. "This is not Manhatten?".
"Goliath's right," Elisa says, Rubbing her arms from the chill most likely
"It's way too quiet, and the water is way too clean."
"The air is too pure as well," I add. "You can't smell trash and gas from all the cars."
My ears suddenly move to the side, hearing the slight hum of what sounded like a machine. I look in that direction with the Bronx starting to bark with Angela trying to stop him if someone hears. the boat bobbles up and down with the current with a scrapping sound suddenly from beneath us, seeing a dark shadow move through the water, making me raise an eyebrow. "What the fuck was that?"
"I'm not sure. It looked like it was made of metal," Angela says, looking over the boat trying to see the creature that just passed us. "It passed beneath us. It was huge".
"What do we do?" Elisa asks, looking at Goliath "we go to shore.
Once we get to shore, I'm currently twirling my staff while Goliath passes back and forth. Angela lays right against the water while Elisa sits on a rock watching the water.
After an hour or so, the water has stopped moving ultimately "whatever Angela saw, it seems to have moved on," Goliath says, making Angela sigh "we might as well do the same, return to Avalon and try once more to find Manhattan."
"Wait a second, see those lights," Elisa says, jumping up. "If that's a town I can put in a call to Matt in New York. he'll be able to tell Brooklyn, and the others were okay."
"Go, Elisa, we'll wait here," Goliath says as I grab something from my pocket, putting it in her hand. "Please take this to the post office."
She looks down at it, seeing it's for Matt "is this for Brooklyn?" I nod before looking back at the others. "Make your call to Matt but don't trust that it will be received okay, trust in the letter."
Elisa looks at me with a grim face nodding before walking towards the city, making me sigh. I feel a hand on my shoulder, looking up seeing Goliath, who has a comforting look. "I know you're worried about the others, especially Brooklyn, but I'm sure they're fine."
"I know, I just miss him and the others," I tell him turning around, giving him a hug, which he accepts. he has been more accepting of affection recently, which has surprised me.
Elisa makes it back and explains we're in Scottland once again but the famous town with the loch ness monster. Goliath decides it time to move on, and we hope in the boat ready to go.
"Princess Katharine told us stories about the loch ness monster," Angela says, almost excited "Oh, can't we stay awhile" she pleads with us.
"We have to get home, Angela," Goliath says, paddling the boat and moving it to the sea. "besides, from what I've seen, what's going on here isn't much of a mystery," Elisa says, which makes Angela confused "Check out that boat, for some people, monster legends are strictly business."
