Sometimes people give you gifts that you don't really consider gifts until you need them most, but some gifts are just plain stupid and should have never been given. I feel like most gifts are the lather but on with the story, The moment I woke up this evening I knew tonight was going to be horrible, after a couple weeks without Maggie Brooklyn was back to himself even after Coldstone threw us a fast one about a week ago. tonight though was starting off nice the boys and I were watching a movie, our favorite, Star Wars. the whole concept just faninates me with Aliens and space battles, I catch Brooklyn watching me sometimes when I start to get really into the movie so I just smile at him. We started to watch episode 5 when the Lex and Broadway got up to go do something and Brooklyn wraps and arm around me making me smile more as I lean into him. I was starting to think that tonight wasn't going to go how my vision foretold it and I was perfectly fine with that but of course the universe hates me and decided that something had to go wrong.
By the time that Goliath had arrived back from helping Elisa I knew I needed to prepare myself so I put my Boi staff in its hollister and waited until Elisa got back from talking to her Captain. I pulled the boys over to the side Right before she got here "Guys listen, Things aren't going to go back to normal after tonight" I tell them making the trio raise an eyebrow "What's going on? "What did you see?" "What happened" are all questions I received from them but I held up a hand.
"everything will be okay, I just have to make sure it goes to plan" I say making Brooklyn frown remembering the last time I tried to intervene in my prophecies. the others go back to what they were doing but red grabs my hand "don't do anything stupid tonight please" Red says making me sigh with a small smile "I'll be fine" I tell him trying to walk away but he stops me and hugs me to him my eyes widening with shock "Seriously, don't get yourself killed trying to stop the furture" he says as I hug him back nodding while hearing Elisa walk up the steps.
"Well, Captain Chavez just confirmed it, Demona was a decoy and thieves took the mirror while we were chasing her around the park." Elisa tells up finishing up walking up the steps
"I should have expected such deviousness from her." the purple gargoyle mentions crossing his arms, I lean up against the brick crossing mine as well wrapping my wings around me in a draping style.
"So, how bad is this? What can she do with an antique mirror?" "It's not just a mirror, lass It's Titania's Mirror, Titania, Queen of the Third Race." Hudson says turning off the tv from Star Wars episode 6 making sigh while I nod this is basic information. "Third Race?" - "You know, Gargoyles, humans, and Oberon's Children" Broadway says but I look down thinking and whatever weird hybrid of the last two I am. "I thought everybody knew this.""Yeah, that guy Shakespeare wrote a play about them, A Midsummer Night's Dream." "The man also wrote about Macbeth which can't be a coincidence might I add" I say maybe thinking if he predicted or saw this then maybe he's like me. "Scotsmen call them "the Fair Folk, The Vikings call them "Dark Elves, They are changelings, shape shifters, creatures of pure magic And their possessions, like the mirror, are vessels of great power" "Wait, wait, wait Shape shifters? Elves? Fairies? " Elisa kinda laughs making me raise an eyebrow "You meant they're real?" "As real as I am, If the stories be true" Huson says. "I mean you've known me for like 6 months and I can tell prophecies about the future but you're questioning beings of magic?" I ask Elisa which he looks kinda shocked that I had mentioned that fact but nods "You're right, I shouldn't have been surprised".
