"Cheer up", Calum says as he hands me a cup. "That won't last long anyway."

"I know that", I frown as I grab the red cup and take a huge gulp. "And that's the problem. I don't want her to get hurt again."

"She doesn't even like him", Calum says and I sigh. "Of course she does. Why would she be in a relationship with someone she doesn't like?"

I pause for a second before it hits me. "Do you mean to tell me she didn't like me?"

"Of course not", he rolls his eyes. "She loved you. No, actually she still does."

"She hates me", I remind him. "You're so right", he says sarcastically, probably done with trying to convince me that she still has feelings for me.

"Fucking Brian", I mumble. "He just wants to get into her pants. That's not what she's there for.. She needs love."

"It gets cheesy again", Calum wrinkles his nose. "But I'll let you have your moment."

I sigh and look at my feet. All my friends are so annoyed but at least they stick to me.

"Hey", I hear a familiar voice as I notice someone sitting down next to me. I look up to see Michael smiling at me.

"Oh, Michael. I think you haven't heard him whine enough today, so have fun", Calum quickly stands up.

"I'm free!", he shouts as he walks away from us. He turns back to me one last time, grinning widely at me to show me that he's just joking but I don't care anyway.

I literally got so unattached from everyone - from everything.

"You alright?", Michael asks and I shrug. He knows the answer.

"Luke!", someone interrupts us. Jessie comes closer, smiling widely. "Glad you made it! How are you?", she asks happily.

Why is everyone always so damn happy?

"Amazing", I say sarcastically. "I'm feeling so good, I could jump in front of a train out of happiness!"

"Can you stop for once?", Jessie frowns. "Why do you even keep coming to all those parties if all you're gonna do is sit on the couch and snap at everyone who dares to speak up?"

"Because all of you basically drag me here, that's why", I say harshly.

"We won't ask you to come anymore, okay? There's the door, just go", Jessie says angrily.

"Good", I say and stand up. "Good", she replies and crosses her arms.

I don't wanna go to be honest, I mean I keep telling them that I don't want to be here but it's better than sitting alone in my room.

"Good", I say again but don't make any attempt to leave.

"Just sit down again, you idiot", Michael tells me and pulls me onto the couch.

"I'll cheer him up, don't worry Jess", he says and Jessie sighs. "He'd need that", she tells him before a guy walks past her and pulls her with him.

Within seconds the huge grin's spread across her face again and she starts talking to a group of guys.

"You won't", I tell Michael and look around the room. "You can't cheer me up."
