After relentless press all day, mindy had suggested a quiet cast meal in your favourite restaurant. Although, with this cast you were sure nothing was going to be quiet about it.
Your shaking hand rested on Sarah's thigh under the table, trying to ground yourself with the feeling of her. You both had decided to announce your pregnancy to the rest of the cast, they were your bestfriends and you were excited to tell them. However, you were naturally an anxious person, and you were nervous about their reactions to the news. You knew they'd be excited and happy for you, but you couldn't help the little nagging voice in the back of your head telling you to worry- as it usually did.
"Are you okay love?" Sarah's hand held yours on her leg, kissing just behind your ear in order to bring you back to reality. She knew you were getting too into your head.
"Honestly guys, if I wanted to watch porn I would've stayed at home!" Cate chucked her napkin at the pair of you, her idea of funny banter always involved her bullying you. It's what made you love her you guessed, it was her charm.
"You're just jealous you're not getting any pussy power, blanket!" The table erupted into laughter and a mixture of 'ooh's'. You gave as hard as you were given.
"Okay children, once you're all settled down, me and y/n actually have something to tell you..." Everyone immediately faced the pair of you, having all their attention heightened your emotions all over again. Sarah watched your face fall, all she wanted to do was assure you that everything was going to be okay. Her hand squeezed yours again, and you squeezed back, telling her to go ahead. You couldn't get the words out, Sarah had to do it.
"so...er-"
"oh my god! You're pregnant aren't you!" Nora shouted out, she was almost obsessed with your's and Sarah's relationship, her reaction made you laugh. Helena playfully jabbed Nora's chest with her elbow, rolling her eyes at the woman's outburst.
"Way to go Nora, ruin their moment why don't you! And Annie, you owe me twenty dollars!" Your mouth dropped at Mindy's admission, they were betting on you?
"What's this about?!"
"I bet Anne that you would be pregnant within a month of us finishing the movie, she didn't believe me" Annie stuck her tongue out at Mindy, while passing over the money.
"Assholes" Everyone laughed at this. You were so grateful for this group of friends, they were like family and you knew you could get through anything as long as you had them and Sarah by your side- you didn't need a homophobic mother to thrive.
