Chapter Seventeen ~ Glory & Disappointment (Neons P.O.V)

Neon sighed,he had so many worries now. First of all Kein is practically trying to hide something and is in pain,Second of all A war has started and they could be bombed at any time and third of all at times Vendaal looks like he is in pain,Fourth of all and so on. He heard some movement and looked up "Look who's active again" Raine teased Kein,Kein just gave Raine a small smile. Neon was now a little less worried about Kein but he still had many many things to worry about "Are you atleast feeling better?" Neon asked Kein,Kein nodded "Well look at you go,you the docter now?" Raine started to tease Neon,Neon felt his fire almost flare up. As he didn't like to be teased,after awhile of teasing and talking Kein came down and sat Next to Neon. Neon was a little happier that Kein was atleast able to move and talk,Neon heard something outside and went out the base. But before he could close the door Kein snuck out,he guessed that he heard the noise too. Someone was there "Uh...h-hello?" Kein said stuttering and sounding a little worried "Hi" his voice was slightly deep "Who are you and what do you want" Neon responded to the person,sounding a little frustrated "I would rather know who you are first" the person said fiercely "I am Neon" He responded coldly "And i,am Frostbite." Frostbite said back with a smile "And why are you acting so..protective?" Frostbite asked "Is it because of that child right there?" Neon felt a little annoyed at that comment "He is not a child,he is just a little short thank you very much" Neon told Frostbite "Hm.." Frostbite said back "Seems a little worthless to me,ya know?" Frostbite pointed to Kein "I-im not..worthless..am i?" Kein mumbled to himself,Neons red eye flared "And you think you are any better than him?" Neon questioned angerliy "Well,all i know is you have fire magic which is pointless to me. And him? Leave him with someone who wants to kill him And he wont fight back" Frostbite awsered,Neon made a ball of fie appear in his palm and he chucked it at FrostBite. Who used his ice magic and made it freeze and it fell to the ground and shattered like glass. "What? My fire is almost like lava! It should have melted the ice unless..." Neon said "Putting the pecies together? I am Frostbite,the god of Snow and Ice" Frostbite gave Neon a small frown "And what are you? If you are anything.." Frostbite muttered,gesturing to Kein "I-im a m-magic bende-r" Kein answered "And im the guardian of my world" Neon said back with a look of daggers "Hm..welp you seem usefull. I will help you guys out all i can if you want me too" Frostbite smiled "Fine,go bug the people inside then" Neon moved and gestured his hand to the door,he noticed Kein didn't move and he grabbed him and pulled him back. Suddently Frostbite dissapeared then he heard his voice inside to he guessed he had teleportation "You alright?" Neon asked,looking at kein who was slightly looking down "I-im alright" Kein awnsered with a smile. They started to talk for awhile "I still can't belive Ocean is gone,she was so powerfull wih her magic too.." Neon said quietly to Kein "Yeah,me too. Welp life is life i guess..." Kein sighed "Mhm........" Neon trailed off staring at the sky. It was almost night,He noticed Kein wince for no reason "I -uh- my p-para- i c-can't-" Kein seemed like he was searching for something to say "Your what?" Neon asked and Kein mumbled something then teleported away. Neon stood up and searched but he was no where to be found. Kein suddently came back and he was holding his wrist "What was that about?" Neon asked him "Its nothing..i promise" Kein told him,Neon noticed a little bit of blood on the ground,then another drip followed and went onto the ground "Why are you bleeding again..?" Neon asked and Kein just held out his wrist "Oh..what happened?" Neon questioned "Dont ask" Kein replied he barely stutters when i talk to him...but when he talks to others he's just stuttering alot...i wonder why.... Neon thought "Alright" he said "Aaalllright" Kein said back queitly "Now what?" Kein asked "I don't know..." Neon replied "We'd better get inside,its dark out now.." Kein said,getting up "Alright" Neon awsered,feeling a little disappointment as he liked to talk to his friend.

Oh no its the morning help

Neon couldn't sleep last night and was up almost all night,no one was up but him. Until he heard a noise then someone came down "Why are you up so early?" The person whisperd "Couldn't sleep.." Neon whisperd back,Neon knew it was Kein just by the voice. Kein sat down beside Neon and whisperd "That sucks..i Could barely sleep too.." back "Somethin happen im guessing?" Neon asked quietly "Stupid nightmare thingy" Kein whisperd. Neon knew he was lying but he thinks that Kein inteded for Neon to know. Neon felt and urge to ask 'Why do you not stutter with me?'  So he did "Kein,why do you not stutter with me?" Neon asked queitly "What do you mean?" he wondered "I mean..in like conversations...you stutter with everyone but me...why is that?" Neon whisperd "Because i know that you won't just lash out at me" Kein mumbled,Neon barely heard what he said "Pardon?" Neon said quietly "Because I know that you won't just lash out at me.." Kein awnsered "That atleast makes me feel better that you trust me.." Neon whisperd back. Neon felt a little better about his friendship with Kein "I do trust you,i trust you alot more than i could ever trust anyone. Because you actually care.." Kein mumbled to Neon,Neon felt like he wanted to glow with pride for a second "That....that makes me feel better......" Neon mumbled back.  "Wait..i know friends do this at times so this is not a romance......is it? If it is then damn" Kein mumbled Neon slightly chuckled. "We will never know.." Neon answered 

S o m e hours later

Everyone was awake now. They were talking went a loud rumble went around then a loud bang....
