chapter 7

mattia knocked on kairis door lightly, he heard some footsteps and the door opens. mattia looks down and sees kairi, who has a concerned look on.

"welcome back." kairi whispers, giggling.

"hi, kai." mattia smiled back, the smaller stood back for the taller to come in, they both went to kairis room and sat on his bed together.

"my mom let me stay for a few days til' all the shit is cleared" mattia says, implying 'shit' as in his dad.

kairi chuckles lightly, "that's good, should we have the boys over?" he pouts.
mattia nods, he really didn't want them over, but he couldn't say to that face. (i mean, who wouldn't?)

kairi took his phone out to text in the group chat with his friends.
to: jersey gang

kairi: yo come over

alejandro: word

alvaro: bet, ale can u drive me

alejandro: ofc

mattia: look at the luv birds

alvaro: shut up mess

robert: nah i cant my parents want me to stay home since i'm so 'sick'

roshaun: cant either got a tournament

kairi puts his phone down and chuckles at the word mattia used, "fucking love birds."

"right? they gotta be...something!" mattia replies, pondering if those two are, something.

~kairi's pov
"i mean they've been together a lot lately." i say softly with a smile.

"we've been together a lot too, are we something?" mattia says mockingly, i rolled my eyes but stopped to think.

maybe.

shut the fuck up brain.

no.

"you okay?" i heard mattia asked nervously.

i nod, shaking out of it, "yeah, no i'm just thinking, they probably are." trying to move on the subject to something else.

mattia grinned at the statement i made, i look down to check if any of the guys were here.
which, not. of course.

we kind of sat in a comfortable silence for awhile, since there was nothing to add about alejandro & alvaro; it kind of spoke for itself.

"have you ever had dreams that you wish were real?" mattia disturbed the silence.

i look over to him, "yeah totally, do you?"

mattia sits closer to me on the bed, we're face to face, "of course, can i tell you one of them?"

i nod for him to proceed.
mattia cleared his throat to start, "like i had a dream i was with this...girl and we were under the stars, talking about shit until we fell asleep for awhile. it's fucking stupid but i wish for that."

girl?

that shot right through me, i moved a bit to not make it look not obvious.

the fuck is wrong with me?

"that sounds actually nice, you'll find someone.." i thought for a second, "..what about jenna?"

mattia scoffed disgustingly, "uh yeah no. she's...i can't do that." he scrunched his face up in the process.

i snorted a bit, "yeah shes pretty gross."

~ back to third pov

mattia laughed, and stopped softly.
he stared at kairi a bit, unconsciously looking up and down at the small boy.

"what?" kairi giggled.

mattia felt something in his heart that shouldn't be there, but he couldn't help it with that giggle.

i mean, they were already face to face on the wasians bed. the LED lights were set to red, perfect moment right?

so mattia took the chance.

he moved closer slowly, kairi confused slightly until he realized.

"-YOO!" the door was opened and it was alvaro.

mattia & kairi both moved as fast as lightning apart, both were thinking.

kairi: the fuck just happened?

mattia: fucking cockblock.

"woah did we just interrupt something?" alejandro smirked and sat in kairis chair.

kairi gulped, "no dumbass, we were just doing a tiktok."

alejandro & alvaro looked at eachother, with the 'cap' face, but they decided not to say anything since it'll wake up the beast inside mattia, since the taller was already in a flushed state.

"i'm getting snacks since i'm hungry." kairi says abruptly with a remained blushed face as well and leaves the room.

"-yeah idiots, says the 'love birds.' " mattia says, finishing the conversation in a funny voice, saying Love birds with air quotes.

"shut up bitch." alvaro spits

"make me, fucker."

"make kairi do it." alejandro adds with the same smirk.

"shut the fuck up!"
the trio startled at the echoing voice from the wasian.
