It was like any other day on the surface, except with the new addition of monsters that integrated with society. It's been about 5 years now and thing has been going great between both species. I would know since I'm practically friends with a group of them. It was difficult at first, getting to know them. It wasn't because they were monsters or anything but mostly because I was so weird.
I seemed to have the tendency to make a normal situation awkward for almost everyone. It's not like I want to or anything but I can't seem to help myself. If I'm just there doing nothing I can assure you something will become awkward. I can't tell you how hard this has made making friends for me. It's like the universe was laughing in my face. Yet, strangely enough, this weird thing of mines somehow made me get the friends I have now. They are such amazing people or monsters and I really couldn't ask for better.
However with the way things are going now. I feel I have to tip toe around a certain set of siblings. I had developed a crush recently and frankly it would be hard to see why not when somebody so amazing and pure in my eyes stands in front of me. Thing is, a certain someone seemed to figure it out and he, unfortunately does not approve. If your wondering what the reasons are there are to many to count, some of them are accidents, the others he his clearly aware isn't. But this wont make me give up on my feelings, even if he disapproves its Sans decision in the end how he feels about me.
I was heading over to the siblings place to hang out for a bit since I was bored. I knocked on the door and it was opened to reveal sans.
"Hey y/n did you come over to hang out?" He asked with beaming blue eyes
My face settled into a starry gaze and I smiled. I hadn't realized that I had been doing that for 2 minutes without saying anything until sans waved a hand in front of my face.
"I'm sorry yes, I was bored" I said with flushed cheeks.
Sans gave an amused laugh and let me in.
"I see you still can't help that thing that happens" he smiled, making idle conversation
"Yeah, unfortunately"
"Well, your just in time!, Papyrus stepped out for a bit and I'm cooking dinner today, so you can help me and cure your boredom" he smiled with excitement
"Sounds like fun" I could feel my heart swell with excitement of us just cooking, together.
I entered the kitchen with sans and tied one of his spare aprons around my waist. I looked over at the apron blue was wearing and it read ' Kiss the Cook'. Boy wouldn't I love to that right now.
"Alright let's start" Sans announced.
We began taking out ingredients and went through the recipe as Sans directed.
I grabbed to eggs and began to crack them in a bowl but when I attempted to they didn't crack. I tried again a little harder this time but it still wouldn't crack. By now I was confused and a bit annoyed.
"How are the eggs coming along y/n?" Sans asked
"I'm getting it done. Let me just-"
Splat!
I gave the eggs a harder crack but this ended up making the egg explode on me getting it on my hands on apron. I paused then looked over at blue smiling sheepishly.
"Sorry..." I chuckled nervously.
Sans laughed and shook his head "It alright, you can pour out the flour and I'll do the eggs"
"Ok" Blue and I switched places and I smiled to myself. This was something I could do with no problem. I after washing my hands I grabbed to bag of flour to get it open. There was one problem...the seal wasn't budging. I tried again and nothing.
