-HEY-
You were happy, no, even more than that you were ecstatic. You were beaming with joy from head to to. Your dreams were finally coming true as you held the deed to your fine establishment. You stood in front of the polished oak doors and looked at the sign in to that read 'HUNG'.
Well to be honest you know the name needed work but you were never good at naming stuff. Yoi had always dreamed of this day since you were a kid, finally owning a bar and making drinks. At first you parents didn't approve and still didn't, they didnt support your choice but you didnt give up and look at where all that hard work got you today. You finally had your own business.
You eagerly took out your key and unlocked the door to hear a welcoming ding as you opened it. But you realized you heard more than one. You looked over to your right and you saw another apparent business owner. This business owner was a fire monster however.
You waved at the new stranger and gave him a warm smile and he waved back. You decided you'd small talk with him since you were both practically neighbors.
"Hi. I'm y/n I'm just starting my business here"
"Nice to meet you. You can call me Grillby , I also just opened up here"
"Oh really?!, do what's your business?"
"Oh, I'm a bartender"
"Really?! Me too and it just so happened that we're...." I trailed off
Now wasn't that great, what are the odds that we'd both open up next to each other as two bars on the same day? Dont get me wrong I was ready for competition and extremely confident. There was no way I wouldn't be able to get customers.
However....
......
That's was 3 months ago!
I stood at behind the bar with tears in my eyes. I opened up this shot 3 months ago and the most I've managed to get is 3 people in here and they hardly frequent. However Grillby had everyone walki bgg in and out of his bar, I didnt get it and it was driving me crazy.
Perhaps he was stealing my customers but no, I know he wouldn't. I looked at the time it was already 2 am I knew Grillbys closed earlier than me. That's why I decided to keep my hours late, hoping maybe I'll be able to grab some customers that way. But so far, I've been unlucky.
I let a soft sigh escape my lips and decided that I should just head home and close up shop early.
'Ding!'
I heard the front door open and a hopellful look came to my eyes as customer walked in. He was a bit shorter not shorter me but I'd say shorter than the average male? I suppose, but this was no human. It was a skeleton wearing a blue hoodie a white t-shirt. And basketball shorts. He walked up to the bar and looked around with a stupor on his face as he took a seat at the bar. I kept my smile on my face but I can tell, this skeleton was noticeably drunk. He seemed as if was a sip away from passing out, the blue tinet to his face says so.
I was responsible enough to know that I shouldnt serve him alchohol even if I knew I would be turning away my potential costumer. But I also care about their safety as well, at least inside this bar.
