You Won't Leave Me, Right?

"It was real ridiculous to wake me up for some stupid reason and then solve it by yourself after fussing about it." Josh complained. The two woke up and went downstairs to eat breakfast. The rest of the family was already out, so they were alone.

"Oh shh. It's not like you'd actually been asleep." Tyler answered, stuffing pancakes in his mouth.

"Yeah well, I still lost some sleep because of that. Plus you were the one risking the chance of being slobbered on by cuddling so close to me." Josh shrugged.

"It's still gross. Keep the saliva to yourself, Joshua." Tyler finished the breakfast off with orange juice.

"How much you wanna bet you drool or you have drooled in your sleep before." Josh raised his. eyebrow at him.

"Uh, no. I know for a fact I most certainly have not drooled. Ever." Tyler shook his head.

"Even when you were a kid?" Josh asked. And Tyler nodded.

"I doubt it. Everyone does. And if they say they don't, they're a liar." Josh looked at him.

"Absolutely not. I'm not a liar. I have never drooled in my life. It's never happened. And it never will. Because that's nasty. And I'm not nasty." Tyler pursed his lips.

"Yeah, okay." Josh laughed. He took the two plates and stuck them in the kitchen sink. He'll clean them later.

"So what do you want to do?" He asked.

"Let's go on a walk. I haven't been on one since forever." Tyler stretched.

Josh laughed at him. "That's a lie. Meaning you lied about not being a liar."

"Joshua. Don't correct me. I was exaggerating. There's a big difference sweetheart." Tyler sassed.

At this point Josh was cackling. "Don't sweetheart me."

"I will if I want to." Tyler sassed again. It was his talent.

"Dang. Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?"

"You know you're really annoying sometimes." Josh said out of nowhere as the two walked through his village.

"Wow. Rude. Well sometimes you....you...are.." Tyler struggled to find something insulting.

"Well spit it out. Or am I just so amazing you can't find a way to insult me?" Josh said smugly.

Tyler huffed and crossed his arms, "I hate you."

"Ha okay. That sure isn't what you were saying last night hun." Josh winked.

Tyler's face went red but he stayed quiet. Josh kept on going.

"Oh Joshie! Ha-" Tyler covered his mouth before anymore could be said.

"Sh-ut up." He stuttered. Josh laughed and licked his hand.

"Ew! You're gross." He pulled his hand back.

"Love you too babe." Josh winked.

"You love me?" Tyler looked at him with wide eyes.

Josh was taken aback because he didn't realize what he said, but he nodded anyway, "Of course I do. We've only been dating for a short period of time, but I do. And I know I do."

"Awe. I love you too." He gushed. The two laced each other's hands together.

"I'm so glad you decided to go on a walk down that path that day. Cause then we wouldn't have met. And I'm 100% positive you're my soulmate." Josh blushed.

"I'm glad I went on that walk too. My mom and dad told me I wasn't allowed to and being the rebel I am, I went anyway. And I got lucky. Not very many people get this lucky either." He reached over and gave Josh a kiss.

"And to think they were gonna marry you off to some privileged brat who doesn't have better abs than me. I'm very skilled and I don't think she'd be very good in bed if you're asking me." Josh giggled. And soon Tyler joined him.

"Me either. But we are both very gay so I think that explains it." He added.

"I'm not gay. I'm only attracted to this one boy. He's very handsome and sexy. I'm sure you would love him." Josh said very seriously.

"I don't know Joshua. That sounds very homosexual if you ask me. But I bet he is so sexy that words can't even describe." Tyler smiled.

"Woah. Your getting too cocky. My boyfriend is very much those things but I can't let him get too self-centered." Josh looked at Tyler.

"I'm hot and everyone should know that." Tyler pursed his lips.

"You very much are indeed." A voice spoke from somewhere close. The two frantically looked around for the source of the voice.

They both recognized it and looked at each other.

Clarence.

"I thought he was at the pack doctor recovering?" Tyler whispered.

"Last time I checked he was!?" Josh responded.

"Whispering isn't gonna help." Clarence came out from behind the shrubs. Tyler and Josh both turned around to be faced with him. He was in awful shape. So he couldn't do any real damage. Which leaves obvious questions.

What is he doing? And why?

"Why are you here?" Josh questioned.

"To tell you, that you can never get rid of me. And things are about to be get a whole lot worse. I said little lover boy will be mine, and I meant it. Because at the end of the day, Josh won't be there to save you anymore. Just wait. You'll see." And he disappeared like he was never there.

"What does that mean Joshie?" Tyler said, scared out of his mind.

"I..I don't know. But I'll never leave you. And you can keep me to that. I promise that I will never ever leave you." He hugged Tyler tightly.

"I'm ready to go home. I don't wanna run into him again." Tyler shuddered.

"I just want you to know, I'd never let him put a finger on you. I've tried to get him out of this pack. He's broke so many rules, and last time was his last chance, but dad won't let me. It should be my decision though. I'm almost alpha"

"No matter what happens, you won't leave me right?" Tyler looked at him expectingly.

"I've already promised you won't." Josh questioned.

"I know, but I want to make sure. Because if you leave, I won't ever be the same." Tyler said.

"And I'd be missing half of me if I did. I'd never do that to you though." Josh pressed a kiss to Tyler's head.

How long will Josh keep his promise? Because things are about to turn upside down. Neither of them realize it yet....

cliffhanger!! if you haven't read it already, this is ending by chapter 40! so just be prepared for that. i have 2 endings and i haven't quite decided which one, but i'm leaning over to one side.
