"I know what Clarence said has put you on edge, but I can't even get up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water without you following me." Tyler said.
Josh looked over at him, "What? That's not true?"
"Last night after we finished, I told you I had to pee, you literally followed me into the bathroom." He looked at him crazily.
"That was one time. And I had to pee too." Josh frowned.
"The day before yesterday I got up for a midnight snack and you came running down the hall in a frenzy. Were you just so hungry you ran to the fridge in a panic?" Tyler raised an eyebrow.
"Alright, so what? I'm a little on edge. But I don't know what Clarence has planned, and so I'm doing the best I can to protect you." Josh responded.
"Well, I don't need to be protected. I can do it myself Josh." Tyler crossed his arms.
"And I never said you couldn't protect yourself. But he wants you Tyler, and extra protection can't hurt at this point." Josh argued.
"What's the worst he can do? He almost died last time? Supposedly he just got out of recovery. He can't do anything unless he wants to get worse. I can fly Josh. I'm a fairy if you forgot. I'm a big boy." He sighed.
"You can fly, but you get tired. You have fairy abilities, but you need to recharge. When all that goes away? What do you plan on doing? Because last time you ran away. But if I'm not there, what happens? You can't run away then. I'm just trying to help." Josh ran his hand through his hair in frustration.
"So you're calling me weak now? Because I can sure as hell show you weak!" Tyler shouted as he stood up.
"I'm not calling you weak Tyler. I'm just saying-" Tyler cut him off.
"Yeah, what are you saying because I'd love to know."
"Could you let me finish? I'm a werewolf. One of his kind. One much stronger than him by miles. You're not weak, but I have more strength than you do. Now for the love of god could you stop shouting." Josh rubbed his temples.
Tyler stayed silent. He didn't know what to say because Josh was right. Instead of apologizing, he just changed the subject.
"When does your family come back." Tyler asked.
The two didn't go to Tyler's house after the Dun family left. They were gonna wait a little so they could have some alone time.
"Well they've been gone about 3 or 4 days. And it usually takes about a week and a half. So unless they some home early, about a week. Why?" Josh answered along with his own question.
"Just wondering." He shrugged.
"Do you wanna go to your house now?" Josh asked.
"Yeah. I'm miss my Jay." Tyler replied sheepishly.
"I think he's my favorite out of your siblings. No offense. Just haven't really conversed with the other two." Josh shrugged.
"It's alright. He's my favorite too. He's just the sweetest thing. He loves when I sing to him. I love the little guy. Mom and dad usually just let me take care of him like he's my son. He likes me best. He would always want me when he was tiny. When mom would try to feed him, he wouldn't eat. So I was the one who did it. He use to not sleep unless I sang to him. Now we share rooms. Zack and Madison act like they can't stand the sight of me. Jay runs up to me and gives me the biggest hug when he sees me. Which honestly he's the only family member I can stand." Tyler poured out.
"My sisters and I have always been close. When mom died, dad just sunk into a depression. So we would take care of each other while he couldn't. We didn't blame him though. Mom was his light. We were all so lonely. It's like living life without sunlight. It's dim. He's much better now. We all are." Josh's eyes dimmed.
