It was almost night when Tyler was climbing through his window. He expected to see Jay in their bedroom, but surprisingly, he wasn't. Tyler really hoped they hadn't noticed he was gone, but Jay might have told his parents he wasn't in his room.

Slowly creeping down the steps, he sees his mom pacing in the living room, his dad on the phone, and his siblings sitting on the couch, watching TV.

They must have heard him going down the steps, because they all looked at him with wide eyes.

"Tyler Robert Joseph! Where were you? You had us all worried! Don't ever do that again!" His mother screeched.

"I was in my room, why are you worrying so much?" Tyler lied.

"Jay told us you weren't. We went and looked." Mrs.Joseph frowned.

Tyler looked down.

"Where were you young man?" Chris yelled.

"I went exploring." He said quietly hoping they didn't hear him, but unfortunately, they did.

"YOU WHAT?" Kelly screamed.

"I-I wanted to go exploring, so I snuck out." Tyler's gaze stayed on the floor.

"You disobeyed my wishes? When you could have been in serious danger?" His dad seethed.

"I seriously don't understand what kind of danger I'd be in?" Tyler questioned.

"Did you skim over the fact that there was howling last night in the premises of the village?" Kelly said in bewilderment.

"No. What's the big deal about howling? Am I missing something?" Tyler questioned.

"Obviously you're missing common sense." Zach rolled his eyes.

"Zach!" His mother lectured.

"Werewolves are a big threat to our kind. And have been since forever." His mother explained.

"And that is why we obey the rules. So no one gets hurt." Chris added.

"Yeah, well, I like werewolves. They seem cool. And not 'dangerous'." Tyler smarted off.

"You can't be serious." Chris' eyes widened a bit, not much, but even to notice.

"Yeah. So much in-fact, I wanna be friends with one." Tyler smiled.

"No." His parents said in unison.

"What? Why?" Tyler's anger flared.

"Because we love our son enough to protect him. And keep him safe." Kelly said.

"I'm almost an adult! I can take care of myself! I know what's good for me! And he was nice! But how would you know? You only look at the outside and decide if that person is good or not! Well I'm sick and tired of being treated like I'm 13!" Tyler's aura was now red, he couldn't control hiding his emotions right now.

"Who was nice?" Chris eyed Tyler.

"None of your business." Tyler shushed.

"It's all my business! You live under my roof. And until you don't, your business is mine." Chris argued.

"I met a guy. And he was sweet. And very attractive. And I want to get to know him more." Tyler smiled thinking about him first meeting Josh.

"Oh yeah? What's his name? Which part of the village does he live in?" Maddie rambled.

"His name is, uh, Josh." Tyler blushed thinking about Josh's comment about his name.

"Ooh." Maddie wiggled her eyebrows.

"Well we have something to tell you, actually." His mom said smiling.

He let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.

"But that doesn't mean your off the hook for sneaking out." Chris raised his eyebrow.

"Okay, well what is it?" Tyler was nervous, but kind of excited.

"Well, we have been informed that the king is arranging for you to marry the princess." Kelly smiled.

"What?" Tyler was surprised, but not in a good way.

"I know! We're excited too!" Kelly said.

"Ma, you know I don't like girls?" Tyler frowned.

"But she's the princess? Wouldn't you want to be the first fairy to marry into royalty?" Chris questioned.

"Just because she's a princess, doesn't change the fact that I'm gay." Tyler argued.

He saw his parents flinch at that. They accepted him, but still haven't warmed up to the idea.

"Well, I don't care. Your going to marry her. We've already accepted the offer." Chris argued back.

"But I've already found someone? Ya' know, Josh?" Tyler reddened from anger.

"Your gonna have to forget about him." Kelly said.

This time he was done(dun) with his parents.

"No I will not forget about him. Have you ever considered my feelings? You don't want what's best for me. You want what's best for you. I'm so fed up with this. You never let me make my own decisions. Maybe they let you walk all over them, but I'm done. Tell the king your eldest refuses. Let Zach marry her, but I will not let you make my decisions anymore, have fun with your other kids. Goodnight."

He stormed off to his room, his parents mouth open wide.

Sitting on his bed, Jay walks in the room teary-eyed. Tyler should have known not to fight with his parents in-front of Jay. He knew Jay hated that. Closing the door he stood there. He was probably mad at Tyler.

Motioning Jay to come to him, he slowly walks over. He picks Jay up and placing him on his lap.

Hugging him, "I'm sorry, Jay, I didn't mean to make you upset. You forgive me?"

Jay hugged him back tightly, "Mhm."

Tyler tickled him and Jay began to squirmed.

"Hehehehehehe, Tyty! Stop it!" Jay laughed

"Okay, okay. Let's get you to bed. Want me to sing?" Tyler said softly.

"Yes, please." Jay smiled.

Tyler tucked Jay into bed.

"Which song, Jay?"

"Uhm, the gold one." Jay said sweetly.

"Okay, I'll sing the gold one."

Tyler started,

"She asked me,
'Son when I grow old,
Will you buy me a house of gold,
And when your father turns to stone,
Will you take care of me?'
I will make you,
Queen of everything you see,
I'll put you on the map,
I'll cure you of disease.
And since we know that dreams are dead,
And life turns plans up on their head,
I will plan to be a bum,
So I just might become someone."

He finishes with Jay sound asleep.

He takes his night shower, and brushes his teeth.

Yawning, he lays down, pulling the covers up, he goes to sleep, excited to see Josh tomorrow.
