My Fancy-ish Dictionary for those who don't know K-pop Terms

Hello.

If you find yourself confused by any of the terms in the story I have written, look here for answers first. I have compiled every term that a non-ARMY wouldn't know.

RM- Namjoon, Joonie, Rap Mon, Rap Monster

Suga- Yoongi, Yoongles, Grandpa

J-Hope- Hoseok, Hobi, Sunshine

Jin- Seokjin, Jinnie, Jin-eomma

Jungkook- Jeongguk, Kook, Kookie

Jimin- Chimchim, Chimmy, Mochi, Jiminie

V- Taehyung, Tae, Taetae, Alien

K-pop and Korean terms to know:

Oppa- an older male to a female, who is close to them; a brother, lover, or close friend. Can be added onto a name or used on its own. EX: Jin-oppa, Oppa

Unnie- (yoo-nee) an older female to a female, who is close to them; a sister or close friend. Can be added onto a name or used solo. EX: Kat-unnie, Unnie

Hyung- an older male to a male, who is close to them; brother or close friend. Usually added onto a name. EX: Jin-hyung, Namjoon-hyung

Noona- an older female to a male who is close to them; a sister or close friend, or friend's sister. Usually used on its own. EX: "Hello Noona, how are you?"

Dongsaeng- a younger person of any gender, who is close to the speaker. Similar to 'little bro/sis'. Used on its own. EX: "Goodnight, my dongsaeng."

V-live- a livestream on V app, a K-pop social media platform

PD-nim- He is the founder and co-CEO of Big Hit Entertainment, which is the company that manages BTS. Can also be referred to as PD-nim, Bang PD, or Hitman Bang. He also produces music. Real name is Bang Si-hyuk

Sasaeng Fan- a fan who is so 'devoted' that it becomes scary, like stalking the members and just generally being creepy around them.

Pabo- a korean word meaning 'fool'.

Annyeonghaseyo- Korean for 'hello'.

Annyeong- Korean for 'bye' or 'goodbye'

International playboy- a Jungkook meme from when they didn't speak English well and he was learning

Ossu Seiromushi- a restaurant founded by Jin, which is in Korea; specializes in steamed Japanese food

ARMY- Acronym; the BTS fandom is known as ARMY. I am an ARMY, I am also a part of the ARMY.

Ahjussi- similar to 'Mr.'

Hana, dul, set- 'one, two, three' in Korean

Bias- your favorite or most romantically interested member of a k-pop group

Saeng-il chuk-a-ham-ni-da!

Saeng-il chuk-a-ham-ni-da!

Sarang-ha neun Hoseok-ssi,

Saeng-il chuk-a-ham-ni-da!- The Happy Birthday song in Korean. "Hoseok" is replaced by the name of the person whos birthday it is.

Saranghae- I love you in Korean
